atorvastatin calcium 2mg, lower my LDL from 180 to 95, but raise my Lp(a) to 65mg/dl (so high)
@tonyyeung88663 жыл бұрын
Have you tried ezetrol ? Are you taking atorvastatin 20mg rather than 2 mg ?

Statins raise Lp(a). Go plant-based. You won’t need the statin (although you’ll still have the elevated Lp(a).

Here we go again, they are saying that some people have high LP(a) and don't have any problems yet they are working in a drug to control it. They don't talk about cause (yes genetics to some degree) and they ignore the fact that it isn't always causative of disease. Like LDL, they will try to lower something that occurs naturally without understanding it's purpose.

The drug he’s taking about IONIS-APO(a)Rx will reduce Lp(a) by 80%. What a great guy to pinpoint 1.4 billion people has this ailment. Nihilism goes hand in hand with fatalism ☝️

LP (a) is created by the body to patch up the pending bursting of soft liquid plaque.

Yes. It's not the reason for a heart attack. what is ? inflammation, lack of niacin, vitamin C, stress, sugar consumption.

Best is to have a coronary calcium score. Better yet is to detect Insulin levels early

It sounds like the message is, they have a *new drug* to hawk, so we should be testing Lp(a) to make the case to prescribe it.

It is just an indicator of inflammation. Reduce carbs and improve insulin resistance

Vitamin K2

LDL Is body intelligent way of telling the body to create more Vitamin K2. Meat and liver has Vitamin K2 because of the fats.

@@bobcocampo thanks for the information. I’ll will do that. I could stand to cut my carbs for sure. Down 25lbs, gave up meat, dairy, seafood. I walk or jog min 2 miles daily 5-6 days a week. Last I had my numbers checked my bad cholesterol was down quite a bit. I have not had that lp(a) number checked since.

My Lp (a) is 450. How can I get in this study please? TC is 109, LDL 29. CACS 7,000 plus. I’m taking 4mg pitavastatin, Praluent 65mg, Ramaprill 1.25, Zetia 10mg, Niacin 2500 mg, and DHA ETA 3600mg. Diagnosed FH. Please help!

Part of the criteria for selection as a participant was that you had to have had a cardiac event or stroke. Frustrating yes, but a baseline metric to ensure consistency among the study group.

Had read in past that Dr Rath (online ) info, also another Dr started a group for Lpa as he had it. Some thought acted as a replacement for low vite C, .... Research natural or nutritional treatments and lifestyle possible helps. All people are kinda different so ...
