Your style of painting technique in this one reminds me of ancient Asian art that I studied decades ago and have always admired for it`s elegant simplicity and the way the paint itself and the water flow was used so masterfully that it awed me, as does this. Thank you for teaching us how to take the time to really see and think with care about how to apply each stroke before touching the surface with either water or pigment. Your teaching has brought me a lot of joy.

Endings of all of your videos are the ultimate highlights 😁 As in all comments, fantastic delivery of beauty and technical complexity of aquarelle as a medium. When i started to paint in oil, i painted it as aquarelle, in layers with mixing consistency. To this day. As my professor would say, aquarell doesn't forgive any 'mistake'. Louise 👌🏻🌺💞

I love your work as allways 😍. Is your son spicing up videos? I can see that back light 🙂❤. And contrast between you and background. I think it would be more flattering, if background will be something neutral or warm. To go with your Skin, hair, personality. In old studio you had beautiful warm light, maybe natural afternoon light? And you were so much more glowing. ❤ love you anyways, in any light 🙂💋

Love your paintings and tutorials, can I ask what you do with any of the tube paints that you've squeezed out but not used? X
@LouiseDeMasi
@LouiseDeMasi Жыл бұрын
Thank you Michele. That's the wonderful thing about watercolour paint, nothing gets wasted. The paint that dries on the palette can be refreshed with water and re-used. You can also wipe a wet brush over the dried pigment to pick up the paint. I like to use it freshly squeezed because I can mix really dark colours with it when I need to.

Another beautiful painting. I am wondering if Australia's climate means your paper stays moist longer than in Canada where our home heating and dry winters seem to suck the moisture out of the paper quite quickly. To compensate, do we perhaps wet out paper twice before beginning?
@LouiseDeMasi
@LouiseDeMasi Жыл бұрын
Thank you Mary. Our hot summers tend to dry it out quickly. A double wetting is always a good idea if you struggle with it drying too quickly. Wet it, wait for it to dull slightly and then wet it again before you start painting.
