This little guy made me smile. I’m just a farm girl who loves to paint I’ve raised over a hundred guineas in my 30 yrs of farm life. I only have 2 now. I love them dearly they are the best alarms and snake chasers plus they love bugs and ticks. Ok. Lol your painting is as beautiful as the birds. Thank you for this one Louise

Really you really are the best watercolor Chanel on KZbin, I’ve looked everywhere and no one creates paintings as beautiful as yours or explains it as well. Stunning bird reminds me of my male turkey.

We have Guinea fowl at the farm sanctuary I volunteer at. They are so loud! Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm AND for going synthetic. Hard to love painting animals, then choose cruelty with a brush to do it with.
@bluewren65 Жыл бұрын
The wattle is so deliciously fleshy. I don't think guinea fowl are ugly at all. Their heads have all those beautiful colours and their spotty feathers can range from dove grey to a dark charcoal. They are a little incongruous with their chubby bodies and their super skinny necks, but that makes them all the more loveable. This is the most lively painting I have ever seen you do. Many claps indeed! 👏👏👏
@elviamunguia8397 Жыл бұрын
I agreed with you! They are very curious and always suspicious about everything, I used to have 10 but little by little a predator got each one of them 😢

What a wonderful subject! One of the main reasons I wanted to learn watercolor was to be able to paint my beloved pitbull, Lily. I have an eye to painting her every time I take her photo. So far, I have 2,000 photos, but I do not feel confident enough to tackle her, because I want her to be perfect. Maybe in a year or so. In the meantime, I'm learning SO MUCH from your excellent instructions on Patreon and my family and friends tell me I'm "super talented" and I just laugh, but at least you've made me a passable watercolorist. I do feel like I can look forward to painting a decent Lily soon, anyway! (maybe even a camel this year!!) Thanks for another excellent YT video too!

My pleasure Vickie and thank you!! 🥰
@bluewren65 Жыл бұрын
You will need to paint her many, many times to get the portrait you want. Start now, and in a year you'll be there. Perfection is a delusion. Strive instead for excellence, you will be able to achieve that even if perfection is an impossibility.

Wonderful! Inspires me to pull out my turkey, chicken and peacock photos again. I love how you mix it up with details and loose transparency. I always get lost in the details. Thank you for new brush info too. I am always looking for good references to synthetic brushes to replace my dying sables. DaVinci should pay you a promo fee. I bet hundreds of your followers will run out and buy them. Just like the eradicators! So Rosemary and Co. Listen up…. Can’t live without those.
