I've actually played this game during my second year of high school and I'm replaying it over the course of my third and final year. I gotta tell you, listening to Snowflakes at the end of the year will hit hard (even though I live in Brazil and there's no snow)

"Ahh shit I live in the south don't I?" God I felt called out lmao. And then you proceeded to make me damn near bawl with whiplashing me into the memories of my first playthrough of golden and how I cried the first time I heard that song. That song hit such a chord with me and I will always get chills listening to it. This game and that song hammered into me that yeah time can fly by pretty damn quickly and things and people change whether your aware of it at the time or it hits you later like a cold breeze. Yeah the message of this game of keep your head up even in your roughest moments and how the bonds you make with your friends are strong physical and metaphorically and they'll always be there for you just like you are for them. It reminded me that family isn't perfect and that even that takes work but it's all worth it in the end cause nothing is better than seeing a loved ones smile. This game is an all time favorite and might be my favorite of all time just due to this song and how it just slaps you and make you reflect on everything. God damn I didn't think I'd type this long music and games truly are something else.

God I still remember my first playthrough of Persona 4 Golden and hearing SNOWFLAKES for the first time. I felt my heart writhe in pain realizing I was nearing towards the end of a fantastic gaming experience. No other video game has made me feel this connected towards the story and characters. The game does so well in making the player feel like a part of the story and dialogue. I feel like I could relate to every character in some way, no matter how small. To me, the Investigation Team is like a non-existent family I can always turn to.

For me, it's Persona 3's Memories Of the City that gets me. While P4 is great, nothing else hits me like spending your final month at Tatsumi Port Island. The pure dread. P3 and P4 are both about letting people into your life and growing, but in different ways. P4's cast is close and feels like real friends like you brought up. But there's something about SEES. They start off forced to work with each other, but after many hardships, they finally come together. Yu and Makoto are presented differently in their adpations and dialogue choices. Yu is charismatic and the "chad". Makoto's choices are much more reserved and rude. Yu goes around and helps everyone with their third persona transformation. Makoto does not. It's not till everyone comes together that Makoto realizes the worth of bonds and becomes the most badass protag in Persona. To me, that's what makes P3 work better for me. P4 is amazing and I loved its relationships, but the tragedy and pain P3's cast goes through makes the waiting for the promised day only so much more painful.

I just finished the game 2 days ago on the ps5. I was really waiting to get into p4 golden and p3 after the trip persona 5,Royal and strikers took me on. I didn’t want to be bias and couldn’t say I’m a true fan of persona till I play the other games. Golden was the first on the list. I won’t go into crazy detail of how the game made me feel but I will say it’s lessons are something I learned a few years back so it did get me pretty emotional looking at these themes through the characters. People say that one thing they love about persona 4 is the fact that it looks like you actually hang out with your friends more than the persona 3 and 4 and although I haven’t experienced persona 3 yet I can certainly say I do agree with them. The moments in this game with the characters are absolutely hilarious and it’s definitely for me one of the funniest games I’ve played in a long time. I find characters like naoto,nanako and kanji to be my favorites because it seemed like they went through the most pain or struggle. It felt like many more eyes were on them compared to the other characters. Yosuke,teddie and rise are the weakest characters out of the group for me while chie and yukiko are strong mediums(chie better than yukiko btw). Snowflakes for me hit really softly. It felt like time was the “cold wind” they were talking about. The treasured place and memories are the memories and tough times they faced as a team and individually during the investigation. it feels colder because yu has to leave but they promise to not be sad but laugh of everything they went through. How close they all got during yu’s time here and that even if time goes on they will never forget what first brought them together. Hearing it for hours as the days go down really hurt and once you have nothing more to do and have to go straight home or do something outside of the social links cause they are all done, it’s rough cause all you can do is let time pass by. It made me worry about the characters once yu left and seeing how they sent him off running after his train and tearing up. Chie and teddie reassuring that they will be okay. And the photo man. It makes you want to see them again. THEN BAM, golden gives you the true ending of all them looking a year older with new designs and nanako, chie,naoto and kanji in my opinion having the biggest glow ups. Game is letting you know that everyone is doing well and that the town is getting better. You wanted to see them again right, you were worried right? well here you go. You don’t have to worry about them anymore, they got their happy ending cause they are together and always will be and that’s where for me snowflakes feels like a SIKE moment 😂 but I will say I haven’t smiled that much about an ending like that in a long time. Literally turned my tears to pure happiness with no tears.

I think each Persona game has one thing they do incredibly well. For 3 it’s atmosphere (all of them do this well, but 3 is on another level,) for 5 it’s actually the gameplay and style, for 4 it’s definately the setting, and it’s personally my favorite cast (though I flip between 4 and 5’s cast a lot[5 was my first Persona.])

Hm. I felt the same. When snowflakes started to play in-game I started to feel melancholy. And I dreaded when the text boxes came up saying "you should make memories with friends." Only because I think subconsciously, because I believe it was telling the player, not the character. It was reminding me that hey I only have so long. And after playing this game, it made me realize how much better life could be with friends around. Since finishing persona 4 golden, I've definitely changed for the better, and while I might not have as close of a friend group as the persona cast, I know it's a lot better from when I started off before playing the game.

I wanted to play persona 5 for a long time but I didn't have a playstation. One day I randomly got specialist in my recommended and because of that I looked persona 4 up and eventually found out it was on steam. I am so incredibly happy that that song got into my recommended at one point because I am absolutely in love with persona now. Persona 4 golden is one of my favorite experiences ever. And because persona 4 was so awesome I wanted persona 5 even more. Now I have a PS3 and am playing persona 5 so I'm very excited to continue playing persona 5 too.
