@@Jerry-dg3xv basically just pick the skill cards during shuffle time, the higher rank the skill card (the number on the corner of the card) the better the skill. Also different dungeons will also give different skill cards.

I honestly think the card system needs to be in 6. I think it’s really disappointing in 5 that you can’t really keep Arsene in your party throughout the game bc he’s just too weak stat wise and sacrifice doesn’t come in until halfway through the game

@@assyjack1692 to be honest, Persona negotiations is way more balanced and true to the Shin Megami Tensei formula. But I feel you, Arsène is way more difficult to keep and use early game. But you can make him really OP in the endgame so there’s at least that. If anything you can use him in NG+

Great video! I am halfway through my first playthrough and this helped me immensely. If you want pronunciation advice btw, Japanese mostly only has consonant plus vowel syllables, so Marakukaja would just be pronounced ma-ra-ku-ka-ja. I really wish they had used more English names in the translation on some of the moves though, I can never remember what any of them do.

Great vid. Helpful as I've just started plotting my 2nd run through P4G. Fun facts about the spell pronunciations: 1. A LOT of people mispronounce them, myself included. And if im not mispronouncing them, i get them mixed up anyway. 😅 2. Pretty sure most of, if not all, the spells in Persona are written in Sanskrit or meant to be. Freind of mine, the biggest SMT fan I know, showed me some evidence to support the claim but he still has some holes to plug in order to fill in that theory.

Given that they may be based on Sanskrit it's no surprise that the spell names are hard for me to pronounce lol. Given how much persona and SMT pull from different cultures and traditions it wouldn't surprise me that their spells are based on such an old language. Although it could just be that they were inspired by an Indian source which was in turn inspired by Sanskrit. 🤔

@@boxorileys that theory is even more sound when considering some of the biblical and other theological references in SMT. Examples: Pretty sure Megido is a reference to Armegeddon and I think Agneystra is a reference to a God like weapon in Asian/Indian myth.

If you change Teddie's costume to one of his human forms you wont hear the footsteps. I didnt even know about that detail cause I hate the the bear costume i make teddie crossdress lol

Yeah I can't have him in the party without the human costumes. It's just wayyyy too annoying lol. Although I will say apron is a good option as well.

Btw you can get victory cry early on in your first playthrough starting on june 24 and in subsequent days with similar fusion forecasts. Basically you can make a kaiwan that has a very small chance of changing a rank 7 skill into victory cry. You will need patience but it is possible. Look up victory cry Kaiwan.

The best personas are obviously in the last 1/3 of the compendium. But what i like to do is commit to a persona that i like the design of and then keep it for the whole game. I picked Titania and Oberon in P4

In P4G especially it's easy to use only one or two personas throughout the entire game thanks to how shuffle time works. It's a failing on the game's part since I think what sets SMT/Persona apart from Pokemon, at least partially, is the flexibility of personas. That and being able (and having to) use different personas or demons to overcome a new boss or challenge. That said Persona should be easier than the SMT games so they can continue to appeal to a wide audience, and playthroughs restricting yourself to a few different or one persona can be fun/interesting, especially on replaying the game.

Besides my cringey joke earlier p4g I made the mistake of trying to min max personas before finishing compendium you should do a video explaining why you should never do that because of there are only a few personas with static recipes.

I gotta finish the P3F videos before the remake comes out first 😅 But yeah, it's a good idea to round out the compendium and see everything. But there's nothing wrong with just making some OP personas to carry you through the game. Especially since not everyone cares to finish the compendium.

Ali Dance and Angelic Grace cannot be put together. I just read it from the Wiki. Idk if that's true though.

Not sure what wiki you're referring to. But as far as I know, they both work at the same time. Ali Dance halves the hit rate of any attacking enemy. Angelic Grace doubles your evasion against everything besides Almighty, Light, and Dark attacks. One works on the enemy, and the other works on you. So if an enemy tries to use a fire attack on you with both active their chance to hit goes down to a fourth of what it would have been.

Does that thing of skill cards from S link still exists? Is it only for ng+? Because I maxed out all social links and never got any cards from any persona (like i've seen in videos) or social links. I think that doesn't exist anymore on golden.

Hey, just to be clear what I meant was that you have to make those personas and then take them to Chagall Cafe which can be unlocked by riding the bike locally three times. Hope that helps.

What is the lowest level you can be at to challenge the Reaper on the Hardest Difficulty?

Hmmmm, hard to say. It really depends on what personas you have and what skills you have on them. If you make the trumpeter I showed off in this video you can cheese it by being invincible to everything but almighty attacks. The lowest level he can be made is Lv 67. Of course the ultimate weapons for party members won't drop unless they take part but they'll likely die anyway so you could bring them in one at a time, let them die but still get the drop. Of course this means they'll be tired afterwards if you don't revive them before the end of the battle. You could probably make Arahabaki and some other personas invincible before that but I haven't tested that. Might be worth looking into if I ever get around to a dedicated reaper guide for persona 4 Golden.

@@boxorileys I tried fighting Reaper at lv 50 and got one shot by a regular Megadola with Trumpeter equipped at around 90 Endurance and 90+ Magic Endurance. Armor equipped: Opera Coat 325 def I suppose it’s kind of a challenge. Was wondering what the record is. All the videos I’ve seen are people at Max level.

@@blue-phoenix115 oof, yeah It's been almost a year so I can't remember what level I first beat him without going back through the vods. Definitely an interesting question to answer. My first thought was maybe Angelic grace but that doesn't work on almighty. I wonder if the P4 reaper AI takes into account skills when aiming for weaknesses or if it's possible to bait it into hitting you with something you drain or block. Or maybe it would be best to keep him debuffed and under status effects while you have a couple allies hit it. Although with the adjustable difficulty of golden I think a lot of people would rather just set the XP gain higher and get to a high level. Edit: went back and found it at 7:29 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZiQcn5ve8eIipY Unfortunately game audio is muted because I didn't know what I was doing back then, still barely now. Anyway looks like I was max level as well so not sure how much that helps

What outfit is that Girl uniform for MC?

It's the "Drag Outfit" that the MC wears during an event in October. I believe after that it becomes a wearable costume automatically. If not then it should be available for purchase at the same place all the other outfits are.
