Singlish is the creole language of Singapura just like many other countries has it.. so be proud ..."A creole is a language that has developed from a mixture of different languages and has become the main language in a particular place."

Nothing wrong to speak Singlish.. There is an occasion that our PM and ministers wanted us to speak a proper English, like the British. However, there is no encouragement for us to speak proper Mandarin, e. g. school teacher had accepted and taught our children to use 巴刹 as wet market, but in proper Chinese, there is no such words., This is translated from malay.. Feel that it is a double standard from the government
