Have you ever been in an improvised scene, where you and your partner have created a great foundation and you're having fun, but a performer enters with a disconnected idea. Uh oh! You might think, what do I do? It can be hard to incorporate an unrelated idea into your scene, but if you have a strong relationship, you can make it work! Sean provides some examples for how this can be a unique opportunity.

Great stuff, Sean! _What doesn't kill me can make me stronger. If I can deal with this disruptive event, I can handle most anything that comes my way..._ It really is a great feeling to be able to maintain one's calm and perspective long enough to save a scene in this way. A true confidence builder. Now, then... how do you feel about talking to that 3rd scene partner who apparently is oblivious to (and, perhaps, even contemptuous toward) relationship and other emotion-based dynamics taking place on stage? In addition to teaching the rest of us how to do _triage,_ wouldn't we all be well served to help these others to up their improv sensitivity games...?
