wouldn't be a Tabby video without some obvious spelling errors. also for those wondering, sometimes the mic audio quality changes and that's because of me recording sections at different times and not having a dedicated spot to record audio. did all I could but it didn't annoy me that much so yeah. anyways thank you again for the patience and watching

I think it needs to be said. Sometimes you have to stop for a second and try to catch your breathe. Swimming is good an yes you not drowning if you swimming. But stop and think where are you swimming to? Up or down? or in circles? We are creatures of routine. A double edged sword after all.

NONPHIXION 47 that’s what I’ve always assumed. It’s weird for Mac to be found is an absolutely spotless house with almost no signs of drugs besides a little coke on his body. It’s just weird when you look at it. He overdosed on a coke and fentynal mix, mixed with alcohol. He was experienced with drugs enough to know that coke and alcohol don’t mix terribly well so I think he did it on purpose
@ZeroDiscordGaming5 жыл бұрын
Max Rooks he didn’t do it on purpose because the toxicology said the amount of coke and alcohol he did wasn’t enough to kill him. Fentanyl ended his life. He probably posted that and then deleted it once he felt himself getting weak, he was found in a praying position also
@maximalist50385 жыл бұрын

I wanted to watch the full video before commenting, and wow this was beautiful. This perfectly encapsulates not only my thoughts on the album, but on mental health in art, and I’m so glad you took the time to put this together, as I think it’s a topic that isn’t discussed nearly enough. Not only that, but I appreciate how you opened yourself up to all of us; using your personal struggles with mental health to connect to Mac’s art and to show the struggles you face as a creator and a human. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Tabby, for always being able to put in to words what I never could, and allowing others to find reprieve through your art. ♥️

I remember the first time I listened to Swimming straight through on an hour+ long drive, and thinking to myself how I can’t wait to hear his next album. I reach my destination, with my phone blowing up along the way, only to find out he passed within that hour. Mac Miller was the first “celebrity death” that hit me right in the feels, and there hasn’t been a day since that I haven’t listened to at least one of his songs. There is so much genius, love, and passion in his music that I wish I could have appreciated more while he was alive. Like you he was a friend that didn’t know he was my friend, and he’s one of those artists that you wish you could meet before a tragedy like this happens. RIP Mac Miller, you touched more lives than you could have imagined.

Circles is his best album imo, with Faces in second and Swimming in third. Circles to me hit the same way Swimming did for you, acceptance of yourself. I had to pause this for a few moments to type this. I normally hate to do so before I finished watching a video but this is hitting me "right in the feels", as they say... You made me realize so much in the first 5 minutes of this video it's sort of unreal. Without going into great detail, I've been stuck in a loop the past few weeks - maybe even months - of my life and as stupid as it may sound; just hearing some those words made me want to start swimming again. Thank you so much for this video (already), Tabby. You're human; and a really amazing one at that.

I also pictured Mac watching this and thinking about what kind of an impact he has had on Tabby and many others. The fact that he has encouraged many people to swim is beautiful. I also like to think about him, or any other artist for that matter, hearing some fan interpreting his lyrics in their own way. Could you imagine that you make a song about something close to you, some fan hears it and thinks it's about an other thing that's close to him, he puts up a video explaining his own interpretation and you as the original artist watch it and you realize something you've never even thought of before. I can't explain what I'm thinking about, but the main point is that *it's just so beautiful that there's 8 billion interpretations to everything.*

Honestly, making videos like these, satisfies my need to talk about topics like this. Discussing music, and what it means, is, for me, something that i like to do a lot. Partly because i love music. I mean, i love music. So when you talk about the deeper things tucked away inside albums, and about the artists who made them, is awesome. Plus the whole mental health thing your doing right now is honestly something that i think a lot of people my age need. I just turned 16. Im in my sophmore year in highschool. I almost never comment on KZbin videos. I felt like I had to, here. This is remarkable. Your analysis. Your metaphors. Your vulnerability. This should have 3 million views. You're incredibly talented and I hope you never stop creating art.

Wisdom was shared by the man, Tabby and tears will be shed. For a first-time video essay, this is incredible. I might sound like I'm hyping you up, but I'm serious. This has a lot more intricate, in-depth details about not only about Mac Miller's swimming as a whole, but also the art in mental health. This, to me, is probably the most humane thing you've ever created. Unintentionally, you taught me so many things about not only the message BEHIND Swimming but most importantly the means to be human, to be openly vulnerable, to... Well, swim to move forward in life and not get stuck in the same area to protect yourself because of the "What if-" thoughts in your brain... All I'm saying is... Thank you for showing me a different side of selflessness and selfishness and also moving forward, in general. #RIPMalcom

I got ROS tatted in bold old English writing on my chest. Every morning I wake up and see it and remember that time back in 09 when I was 9 years old and how happy I was and how happy mac made me. Made me cry like twice this whole video but thank you for clearing up his album and opening my mind to things I probably could never see. We all miss Malcolm 🖤

This is art in its purest form. Thank you for creating this, as you can see it doesn't and will never go unnoticed. Please never stop doing what you do, in this life or the ones that are to follow.

This is the first of your videos I’ve seen and I just want to say thank you so much. There’s never been any artist I’ve resonated with more than Mac and I felt like I lost a little piece of myself when he passed. Now, understanding his final piece of work better, I feel more at peace. Whenever I feel like I’m drowning, I’m going to try to remember and swim. I am human. We all are. Thank you

My favorite artist of all time. Felt like a close friend that I grew up beside. Such a talented and beautiful soul, taken from this Earth far too soon.

Well made video, man. I wasn't a Mac fan until after his death. His tiny desk session popped up on my feed and it grabbed me. His love for music is contagious. I still don't care for his earlier work, but his live sessions where he surrounds himself around phenomenal musicians with all those funk, jazz, and r&b grooves really take me to a peaceful place. I agree that Swimming is a masterpiece. He's inspired me to push myself as a musician and I'm thankful for that.

wow tabby this is such an amazing video. As someone who deals with major depression this album (like you) hit me incredibly hard. It was so amazing to hear an artist express every feeling I couldn't explain. And finally after a couple listens it was the album that inspired me to get up off my ass and get help, so like Mac I could swim too. I loved your analysis on this amazing album and I hope your doing mentally alright! If you need more time to put out videos like this then please take as much time as you need. They're worth the wait. Thanks for making this, R.I.P Mac

I have been going through depression for over a year, and I am still going through it to this day. I feel like nobody in this world understands me, and, to be honest, I want my pain to end. I relate to you so much, Tabby. Thank you for making this video. I'll try to keep swimming, but I don't know if I can anymore.

Some of the best days of your life haven't happened yet. You must understand balance and know that there is always an end to bad times and good. Fill your mind with I can I will more than I cant I won't and watch the world change before your eyes each day

Humans are so full of potential yet so flawed... We are capable of so so many things if we just get out head screwed on right. Let the world see your potential wheather it be by being a good friend family member pet owner or even neighbor. You have a light shining within you let yourself and the world see it

Tabby dude, I've just found you. But Jesus christ, besides being a huge mac fan since K.I.D's came out and this touching me to his death, the mental health is beyond relatable. I literally wanted to cry just because I feel we are so similar and this said the words I couldn't. I love you man
