I met Stampy while I was working at a gaming event in a museum a good few years ago, I was running the Minecraft area and he was doing a VIP meet and greet thing and playing a bit of Minecraft with some of the visitors. Got to chat to him before it started and he seemed like a genuinely nice guy - approachable, down to earth and friendly. Also I was entirely unfamiliar with who he actually was at the time and kept referring to him as Stampy Long Foot. Either way, yes he is nice irl

i think hes the only minecraft youtuber that wasnt problematic. even with l for lee, he handled it really well and did a really good job to tell others why he left
@bearmugs1408
@bearmugs1408 Жыл бұрын
Well, Stampy did lie about one part of the L for Lee allegations. Towards the end of Lee's appearance Stampy said that the L for Lee character was being played by someone else in the description of his videos (this is no longer there though). Lee, in his own video addressing the allegations said it was always him right until the end. So, you have to take Lee's word for that. But there wouldn't be much point in Lee saying this unless it was true because he left to protect Stampy's reputation in the first place. So spreading false information would just oppose Lee's own reason for leaving. Other than this, Stampy handled the situation remarkable well considering the entire situation (the nature of the allegations and Stampy's young audience). Not going into why Lee left as to not draw more attention to it etc.

I’m gonna miss him a lot. He formed my childhood, placed my loyal spot into the minecraft community, and has a special place in my heart. I remember as a child, I’d be eager to wait for episode 1,000 of his lovely world series, going up from 100, 200, and all the way back up to 600. Being a fan before episode 100, I enjoyed every second of his content, with no regrets. Though his channel was slowly coming to an end, and I could see his, I thought I should buy Stampy’s Lovely Book on release to support him a little more considering what little I could do. It still sits on my shelf to this day. A few years later I was told that Stampy and Sqaishey got married, and I was quite surprised, considering It really felt like a blink when I first saw them, but I googled it, and they got married in 2019. I felt happy for them. It was around this time that I grew up. And now I still check his channel often, making sure he’s holding up good. I watch his Space Den series to this day, and I can’t help but to feel nostalgia every time. Remembering Sky Den and Cave Den and being in quarantine, I decided to rewatch every episode. That brings me to today, and I came here and filled myself in. Thanks to Stampy who formed my childhood and everything in there. Cheers.

I think the way his channel has been “dying” is the right way to see it go. It’s hard now to appeal to children on KZbin these days without being obnoxious, especially because there’s such an overwhelming amount of content and what grabs viewers is often among the most extreme. Stampy was always genuine, sincere, and never exploited his fans the way so many children’s KZbinrs do now. He never pressured his audience to buy merch or “smash that like button.” It’s better for him to make content he likes than for him to try hopelessly to stay relevant, because the truth is that the only path out there for relevancy on KZbin is one of greed, exploitation, and dishonesty. I have mad respect for the man. He will go down in the books as a legend.

He didn’t die or lose motivation. He was like a parent, and after a while, you grow up, and his job was done, he helped us grow, now he is there in spirit to teach us that it’s our turn to change a generation. He has a beautiful wife, two dogs, and he has a new plan. He gave us all a light, he taught us how to just have fun, and to make the dark reality of the world a bright and colorful mirage for the younger generations and to just smile. In all stories the hero is the one to brighten the lives of others. He is not just a hero. He is a legend, and as the song goes. Legends never die. Thank you stamps you gave us a beautiful childhood.

It's a strange age for KZbin. For many of us, it was just a funny video site for random stuff back in 2005-2006. Now it's been 15 years and the kids that once watched it have aged, and the direction the platform has gone is for monetization. It's sad, but something new and better will come around eventually.

its sad i used to run home after school just so I could watch stampy on my moms phone. sometimes I wish i could go back, we grew up and that's sad. i had fun, i laughed, i giggled, and i cried but sometimes time just goes on without warning. stampy made the world more peaceful than he knew and now its time for someone else to take that spotlight. but lets not forget the good times they were much more better than we could have asked for and I'm grateful for that. bye stampy you were a huge part of my life along with mark and jack but you were simple and kind, you were a pillar in our lives and we were in yours us kids are now almost adults we'll never forget how you shaped our future for the better. now dont eat too much cake and get some sleep and know we'll still remember.

This man practically raised a generation by himself. I remember getting excited each Friday and I woke up early Saturday morning to watch his videos. I also tried to recreate some of his builds like his rocket ship which I know many people at the time did, but sadly, every good thing eventually comes to an end. I grew up and his videos just weren't very appealing to me anymore and I also moved on to other games other than Minecraft. I am 14 years old now and just graduated middle school and it seems like just yesterday. I will never forget you Stampy. Thanks for all the amazing memories.

Idk why I am my suprised. I haven't been watching Stampy's videos just because I grew up from that series, but it was so nostalgic. It warmed my heart to see my favorite channel when I was 5 years old, now 14 and still seeing it and thinking how much time has passed, remembering the good days. It wasn't Stampy's fault, it was the trends that were pulling him down. Minecraft trends shifted from being creative and having fun with friends, to fighting the ender dragon and getting all geared up so you are stronger; it's not the same as it was 7 years ago when Minecraft was good. Stampy doesn't die, just a legend in our hearts.

Stamps was the best KZbinr, he made content for kids without click baiting and it was so fun to watch as a kid while still holding up later on. I watched that guy so much as a little kid

Literally the Mr. Rogers of our generation. The man was a legend and you could tell he loved what he was doing. Big part of mine and many other’s childhood.

I guess that's why he doesn't care about the views, he's being true to himself and that's all that matters at the end of the day.

I was with my friend last year and we both grew up watching Stampy. One afternoon, my friend pulled up one of Stampy's old videos where he was building a bathroom, i dont remember much, but memories came flooding back and we got so invested in this one small video. When it was over, i felt like i just got a flashback of my entire childhood, a part of it i hope i will never forget again.

Even if you never seen or didn’t watch him a lot, I think everyone can agree that he is one of the most important KZbinrs that has ever been on this platform.

Stampy is one of few people who never did anything wrong to fall, it’s just what happened. I believe he’ll have some amazing new content for other people later in other forms, not just KZbin. I probably stopped watching stampy back in 2015 or 2016. I started watching himself when I was 9, I can’t believe that. Years and years of just the same thing was just interesting to us back then. But once you realize all the magic behind it, you appreciate it less. And eventually you get older, and find interest in other things. It was a childhood well spent, and it’s what got me into minecraft. I had pocket edition, but I never would have gotten java if it wasn’t for stampy. I’m starting an rp this summer, and it’s hard to believe it was because of him (and also some other people, but I wouldn’t have found them in my recommend if I didn’t watch stampy). I don’t know how he stayed on the same world every day for year though. It amazes me.

Man that comment *"his channel didnt die, we just grow up"* actually shocked me because of how true it actually is. If this video didnt come to my recomendations, i would probably still not remember him.Its actually quite sad to realize that we all grow up and forgot about him and even now that we got reminded of his existance we still wont watch him anymore. Its sad but true, *we did grow up*.

Stampy’s channel did not die! The viewers and I just got older losing interest in Minecraft and had to move on to whatever was important in life. StampyLongHead has made an entire generation of kids including me, who have come to watch him until he made the last video about his Lovely World before leaving KZbin which yes is sad 😢 however, the memories are still what remains.
