“””PLEASE READ””” I love watching your birds! They get so much stimulation. You’re the only bird channel I watch now. I also have 2 caiques. But it’s just me being the parrent, my husband says they’re my birds , I wanted them. So it’s been rough lately I’ve had my birds for about 6 years. I decided after doing some research on caiques they would be nice little companions for me since I can’t work anymore, I’ve had multiple surgeries on my back and now deal with chronic pain , I’m 66. It went well for me the 1st few years but this last year I have been considering rehoming them (would break my heart❤) because they aren’t getting enough stimulation & attention from me😅 anymore and they just make me angry at them all the time, I yell at them because I’m in pain. They have a good routine, I get them out of their cages in the morning, they poop, they eat, and they are out for about an hour then they go in their big cages in their room. (That’s where they have their smaller cages they sleep in). So they go in their big cages with hidden nutra berries and the Disney music they love to listen & sing along to. At 2pm I let them out into the living room and they have their tree, I have a few perches in kitchen & living room and different things to play with in the large bay window. But they seem to always want my attention and they want to sit so close to my face that I can’t even drink my coffee without having to move them and they resist and scream. They follow me to the bathroom every time I go. So I was thinking of getting a coffee table like you have for them to play on and have all kinds of fun toys and treats for them to forage. In hopes that they wouldn’t be so clingy. Was this a game changer for you? That’s what I’m hoping for. I’m looking at used marble top solid wood coffee table for $50. Sorry I rambled. Hope you see this message.
