As a parrot owner, who has two other jobs, I can’t imagine you guys having any other jobs, but bird training. My Amazon double yellow head gets lots of time with me but not much training. It takes a long long time.

Translation of "Loro bonito, muy platicador": "Pretty parrot, very chatty". Tori, you're right that "pajaro" means bird. "Loro" means "parrot" specifically. :) There's another word for parrot in Spanish, which is "cotorra". I'm not sure what the difference between the two words is, other than possibly regional. There's ALSO another word for "bird", and that's "ave". So, have fun with that, lol. Spanish is my second language, but my mom is a native Spanish-speaker who didn't come to the U.S. until she was in her mid-20's, and even she struggles to explain the differences in the words. So, in sum: Loro bonito = Pretty/beautiful parrot Muy platicador = Very chatty

So I've noticed they don't give scritches to the birds, knowing the amount of research they do I am wondering if that's something to do with avoiding being seen as a mate by any of the birds? Have they spoken about that before?

Head scritches are fine as long as you don't inadvertently touch any other part of the body and activate horny mode. I would assume they just don't do it much on video because the birds are usually engrossed in performing a task or playing with each other.

I sometimes wonder if cockatiels eat any seaweed or crustaceans in the wild. Example they avoid the middle of Australia they travel near bodies of water. They mostly hunt for food ok the ground so I would presume they would go to a beach for food. I know my cockatiel liked kelp. It’s crazy how many parrot species we know nothing of what they eat in the wild
