This type of car is usually made for old people to get around. Weather protected, can carry grocery and grandchild to and back from school, can haul decent amount of material. The rear view cam is standard as far as i know, because we Chinese care more about the feeling of sitting in a car instead of the power numbers, so you can see even basic model cars in China has Rear view camera, heated seats, air-con, HUD, all that bells and whistles in a 90hp compact car. Also the screen doubles as a entertainment system, you plug a USB stick in there and it can play the video file in the usb. Very cool in its own way definitely.

If you buy them in bulk, you may negotiate a discount. There are cars on the market that cost more than 40 of those ChangLi's. And if you make a kickstarter campaign, you'll not even need to put your own money down. I'm pretty sure other people might be interested in seeing such an event (you just need to find a racetrack). Perks for backers would include: free-entry to the event (non-backers would have to pay a fee), memorabilia, the possibility to drive the ChangLi on the racetrack... If there is enough funding, you might want to organise more than one such event around the country (the extra money being used to cover logistics). And after everything is over, you can put the little ChangLi's up for auction (or just give them away) because you probably don't want to bear the cost of storing them... @einsteinx24 жыл бұрын
@Pocket Fluff Productions having some previous experience with Alibaba, I’d say there’s about a 99% chance you could buy one, or a few of them, unassembled. Alibaba’s purpose is basically just to connect you directly to factories in China where you then negotiate price and whatnot, so you could probably just ask and they would ship you the parts instead of a whole car no problem. Alibaba is usually for buying parts in bulk directly from factories whereas AliExpress is for buying single items or smaller batches usually from resellers (basically Amazon but for Chinese made items...so basically still just Amazon I guess haha), but I guess since the car is a high price item-compared to say a microchip-they were also doing single sales. China’s manufacturing is a bit unique compared to western countries in that there are lots of small factories that build the same product (or slight variations on the same product). I’m sure some smaller factory making these types of vehicles would be more than happy to sell a few without having to put them together. Hell even a bigger one would probably do it. A sale is a sale.

The Henry Ford use of wood crates is a myth that is not true. There is a research paper out there that proves that the author from a book published in the 50s or some time there about fabricated this information. Like much of the myths around ford such as the reason why he paid more per hour is to keep people working, Most people would up and leave the job because it was hard and dangerous. Ford also offered more than the color black. Ford also did not invent the assembly line and to kill it off Ford did not invent the model T, Someone who worked for him did. One more thing It was not the cheapest massed produced car either.

@@klausbrinck2137 Henry Ford and his staff developed Model T in a restricted area of his Piquette Avenue plant. I wonder if that's in addition to regen braking. From what I've read about electric motors, having regen braking is just a matter of connecting some wires differently, although in the simplest form, it kicks in when you let go of the pedal and whatever the actual brake pedal does is a separate operation.
