Sonny Terry’s music is what made me decide to get serious about harmonica when I was around 14. I got his book “country blues “. His playing with Brownie McGee was also great at showing me how to play with a guitar player.

@@TheHarmonicaBarge hi silly question here. The base grove end with 2 draw notes. Its easier with one draw note. But my question is you end with 2 draw notes? Before going back into draw hole 2? Thanks

I am excited after one of your videos popped up on my feed! After this roller coaster harmonica playing for years this is basically the first I've heard of rhythm styles. That was in the mix somewhat but not specifically.. This is probably a dumb question but what about chord changes?
@TheHarmonicaBarge2 жыл бұрын
Hi Greg, great your into the rhythm stuff. My opinion on chord changes is that they are over rated :) Jokes aside, it’s a much longer answer. In my longer In Depth lessons I have a number of systems for adapting rhythm parts for changes. I’ll prob make some free lessons on this soon too . Cheers. Ed

Once you have it down, and can groove with it, are you using any articulations?
@TheHarmonicaBarge Жыл бұрын
it depends on the sound/feel I want. Articulations create certain effects to give a more percussive sound. The Less articulation, the more resonant the sound- generally speaking :)
