The Chess World Cup 2023 is a 206-player single-elimination chess tournament that will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 30 July to 24 August 2023.[1] It will be the 10th edition of the Chess World Cup. The top three finishers in the tournament will qualify for the 2024 Candidates Tournament.[2][3]
The tournament will be held in parallel with the Women's Chess World Cup 2023.

Every time Pragg plays, I have to watch. the guy is phenomenal and even his "boring" games always have some kind of twist. He plays like the old masters but with the benefit of modern tools. A machine when he needs to be and an artist when he can.

@@ashikah1021 No doubt. But not as entertaining as other players. Magnus is cold and calculated and plays almost perfect chess. He's not a big risk taker and it's served him well as he will likely be remembered as one of, if not the, greatest chess player of all time. That being said, I find other players to be more entertaining in chess. Mad respect to the GOAT, Magnus, but also mad respect to Fabi, Prag, and many other players who make it incredibly entertaining with their creativity.
