Most of the strangely dirty carpets have been used by their owners in workplaces and public places. Many carpets are used by the owner in the garden for weekend cleaning, but they are not properly maintained and many are used at work and outdoors. It's usually in the video description that these are flood-soiled rugs, as it is for this one. Flooding can deposit a lot more than just dirt, when sewers and street drainage back up. Oils, greases, feces, urine... edit: Then can come mold and mildew.
