What a beautiful sound! The smile on your face and in your eyes tells me it was worth every penny! Congratz on the purchase.

Yes! Exactly! I second guessed my desire to buy it for at least two years. It's a big investment. In the end, though, it's worth every penny for sure. I haven't traveled or performed with it yet, so those aspects are yet to be seen, but playing it is a joy.

Fantastic demo. Thanks much!! I've also been wanting one of these for quite a long time. But it might well be out of my reach for a while. This is one of the first run through's I've found of it. I love the fact that it does the lower keys. Low A is harder to play, but has a wonderful quality to it for a meditative slow feel. This is the first slider model of any kind I've seen that does basically a full octave range and every key actually sounds good.

Just a question or two, three: do you still use the wood-slide? Then secondly: How is it holding up? And thirdly: still so much fun to play this didgeridoo?

The first position is triple dots on the brass tube. You have to ask for the document made by Jean Yves. Ha made a board with all the tune and how to organize the didg.

Nice!! They're a great instrument, aren't they! As for the dots, I would consider contacting Jean-Yves who makes them to see what he suggests. Those dots shouldn't wear off! At least, mine never have!

What about the Incredible Woodslide Didgeridoo today? Why don't you use it in new videos? I like it but is it worth?
@Breathwood4 жыл бұрын
Good questions! The woodslide is still incredible and I use it for performances. The fiberglass just happens to feel easier to play lately, and I can leave it sitting in a corner of the room whereas the woodslide needs a bit more care each time I play it. It is best to take it apart and let it dry each time, unlike other didges.

A real nice didge and I sure can see that you are enjoying it! I have a question though as a didgeridoo maker and budding player(one of my hobbies), I noticed that the sliding part is made out of some kind of metal. What kind of metal is it? Is it brass, stainless steel or what? The reason I'm asking is concern of rusting due to the moisture that always build up during play.
@Breathwood7 жыл бұрын
I believe it's brass, but I'm not 100% certain. In the care instructions, the maker says it is very important to either remove the mouthpiece section from the metal after playing, or extend it fully. This way, the innermost section will dry and minimize and chances of the wood expanding inside the metal. As for rust, he didn't mention that at all!

Also, don't you have any curiosity on building an didge with your own hand? Since I've started playing, this drive to make one by myself has consumed me, i'll never feel complete without making one with my own hand
@Breathwood7 жыл бұрын
Yes! I'd love to make one! I just haven't had access to the space or tools I would need to make one. But one day I will. I think it's an important step in the process of playing didgeridoo.
