My favorite moment with someone who played a didgeridoo was they had a homemade one and played it from my car window as I drove slowly in a small village. Literally best memories and that was 11 years ago. ♥️

You actually don't need to push the different parts all the way in to put it in the bag. Leave each part a a couple of centimeters out, and secure them with the rubber rings that comes with the instrument. The bag will still fit. That way it is easier to slide it out again. And put a piece of cardboard in the tube below, to prevent the tubes from sliding in further or moving while you transport it.

Thanks for the tip. Do you have a WoodSlide? If so, is there anything else you'd like to share that may help our viewers?

@@didgeproject Yes, I have a Woodslide. You can see it in my avatar actually. I have some tips, yes. First of all: this is not an instrument for beginners. Once you extend the tubes beyond 1m70, it becomes quite challenging for a beginner to get a drone. Secondly: to combat moisture: rotate the tube now and then while playing during longer sessions and always extend both tubes fully for drying. Also: when receiving a new Woodslide: measure the positions of the dots on the wooden tube, and take good note of this. These dots will wear off after a while. Every woodslide is different, so it is important that you can restore the dots if you need to. And lastly: if you contact the maker, he will send you a document that explains how to play all the notes using the dots. The basic config is to keep the brass tube on the first dot, and move the wooden tube for different notes. But other positions are also possible.

I have a pvc type of telescoping didgeridoo. It's real nice.
@guiomqc2 жыл бұрын
Most likely not comparable though. I also have an Airdidge (telescopic carbon fibre). But the resonance isn’t comparable. Airdidge is perfect when you can’t bring anything else with you.

Can you actually bring this into the cabin in a flight? How long / wide is the bag with the didge in it?

Hey, I believe you can carry this on a plane as its not longer than a standard guitar. We don’t have the case length measurement at the moment but I will post here when we do. Cheers!

Nice Didgeridoo, can you tell me somethings about the "trumpet" sound intonation? Thanks a lot xD

Are you looking for info about the trumpets on woodslide, or just about the trumpets on didgeridoo in general?

only on the woodslide, i have also one thats why i ask you about.
@didgeproject Жыл бұрын
@@roanfu411 there is not much info available, but check the trumpet tones that you get using a chromatic tuner. at each slide position, take note of the drone and 1st and 2nd trumpet if you can play them. cheers!
