In today’s video, we look at the diversity of indigenous peoples living in the Russian Federation. We discuss the distinct Russian republics, such as Buryatia, Yakutia, Tuva, Tatarstan and the North Caucasus republics; non-ethnic Russian languages, education and religion, and what impact do decisions in the Kremlin have in various, remote Russian republics, as well as what the regions in Russia beyond Moscow think of the centre that, in essence, controls their livelihood.
Our experts - director of the Centre for Eastern Studies (OSW) Wojciech Konończuk, and Senior Fellow from the the OSW Russian Department, Katarzyna Chawryło - take a deep dive into Russia’s history as a colonial power and what impact the Russia-Ukraine war has had in various Russian Federation republics: protests in Dagestan or Yakutia related to the war in Ukraine and non-ethnic Russian soldiers fighting in the war - and how that influences crucial aspects of life in these republics, and even the survival of Russian indigenous peoples, such as Buryats, Yakuts, and Tuvans.
Lastly, we try to answer the question of whether a collapse of the Russian Federation is possible, if Russia loses the war in Ukraine.

All people in Russia are indigenous to it. The Slavs to its European landmass no less than the Buryats to Lake Baikal

Russia even colonized North America all the way east to the Continental Divide and south to San Francisco where there was a Russian graveyard on what is now Russian Hill.

Russia is certainly not a classical empire. Classical empires squeeze resources out of the region without giving anything in return. As the UK or the USA did today. Russia is developing the regions where it comes. Everyone can compare Crimea under Ukraine and under Russia. 3:15 what is this nonsense? The Soviet Union did not annex Tyva. Tyva, being an independent state, declared war on nazi Germany in 41, and joined the USSR in 44. 15:52 She says that Buryatia has still preserved its identity. This confirms the fact that small nations living in Russia preserve their culture, language, and traditions. People from these regions can hold senior positions in the state. Yes, it is not possible to get higher education in Buryat or Koryak, but that would be nonsense. Do you imagine the costs associated with the translation and implementation of textbooks "resistance of materials" in Bashkir, Buryat, Koryak ... languages. Bullshit! And what happened to the indigenous peoples of North America? 17:20 any marginal in the West knows that separatism in the Caucasus was supported by the West. 17:51 and you would probably like the peoples of Russia to be guided not by the constitution of Russia, but by your "rules-based order". I understand you)) In general, I am satisfied with the pitiful tone of this opus. Long live the new just, multipolar world order! And in conclusion, I will add a little bit of racism, which you understand - you are bad whites, we are good)) Россия-мощь! Победа будет за нами!

Today's British colonies are: New Zealand, Maine, Australia, Canada, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland. US American colonies: Hawaii, Samoa, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guan Islands. These countries have their own currency, their own language, their own laws, their own embassies and the highest standard of living. So what do the Russian colonies have? Dagestan, Chechnya, Tyva, Buryatia, Karelia, etc.? Look dude. An US American can easily stroll around Samoa and Hawaii. An British would be happy to go to Australia or Canada. Can you move to live in Dagestan, Buryatia, Tuva or Chechnya? Чел, как житель одной из национальных республик я бы скорее тебе из дробовика в лицо выстрелил, чем руку пожал.

When ethnic minorities are being compelled to assimilate or are being unalived in spite of assimilating and "nontraditional" sexual and gender minorities are being erased, your vaunted Russian constitution is just a worthless piece of paper!

Russification is definitely not development of indigenous minorities; it is ethnocide pure and simple.
