At one moment these fans see them dancing like a pole dancer in a club , another moment, they are babying them like a three year old. Idk it just seems ped0 fetish fantasy, even if some people might not agree or realise. And ofcourse , the "kawaii" baby talking. It's really easy to say that we non fans are making it a big deal but remember, these are literally call "idols" . They bring every trend, every beauty standard to life. Putting in my two ¢ as an Asian person, the infantilization is so weird. I'm a very short mfr and get seen as a child on the daily-can't imagine these taller, clearly older-looking idols being infantilized constantly no matter the concept. I remember thinking it was shocking Eunchae debuting because I'm a year older than her. Like we were all just babies. It's kind of a problem here as an American as of late, I guess, watching some Asian content creators objectifying themselves to appeal to this ridiculous image of being someone's sick aegyo fantasy. It's pretty easy to look past the aegyo thing as an Asian person because it looks god-awfully cringe and I don't think any diaspora like myself would get caught dead doing that here, so calling it a cultural thing and it should be upheld is utter nonsense. I don't know where I was going with this, but the parasocialism + projection of idols is weird. A tweet asking if there were neurodivergent idols got massive backlash because people couldn't accept that these real human beings living in a society with taboos about mental health exist because it would ruin their fantasy. If people start looking at idols as grown humans I would be not scratching my head at how stantwt uses groups like a freaking chessboard 😭 Anyways, sorry for the rant, I had to get this off my chest. Finally we're addressing some stuff around here.

Yeah people should stop treating idols like babies, but they should also stop treating them like scoundrels...If you know what I mean, as if they only care about sex-related things or are crazy about having several women and men, this happens a lot.
