The Infected Beginner's Guide Part 1: Settings, options and user interface

During the beginners guide I will explain the settings, options and user's interface, I will go through the first 2 days with you, take you on a Vambie town run and show you how to best get through the different seasons, plus more.
You do not have to build like I show, you can change it up, and add more if you would like. In the end this is your game and your build, I am just here to help show you the basics and how best to survive.
Holding F opens your compass, shows you the day and season
Pressing G show you the players health stats
Pressing 0 (zero) takes your tool out of your hands
Left Alt + Right mouse button allows you to move a single item
Left Shift + Right mouse button allows you to move a stack
Left Shift and drag allows you to choose the quantity you need

You play every game I do XD except for one, "Empyrion: Galactic Survival". Might be up your street?

This video was very helpful. I love survival type games but hate having to fight all the time or worry about things jumping out at me. Often there are creative modes but they usually don't have the survival aspect. I sometimes use mods or console commands for "invisible" setting but often there isn't one & it's nearly impossible to find out if there is such an adjustment within the game itself without actually buying the game. Do you know any other survival games that have an invisible or peaceful settings in the game? I've played ARK, Smalland, Grounded, Astroneer, Green Hell, the Forest and some lesser known games. Thanks!

Can you provide any tips as to the best settings for performance. My game runs smooth on a mid-range system, the only thing is, for some reason this game really heats up my computer, unlike other games I have, except Planet Crafter. Space Engineers, 7 Days to Die, and the X3 series runs pretty well. Just this game is problematic when it comes to causing heat. I never play on highest graphics settings, and I normally disable shadows when the option is given. What "Infected" settings would you advise?

I wish I could help you with that, even my pc runs hot on this game. The game is not completely optimized so we may have to wait a bit and see if that changes in the future. Wishing you a great day. Take Care!

@@ThatFoolishGrrl I turned on vsync in the in-game options, turned down foliage clutter, which doesn't include the fruits and vegetables found, and lowered the other settings, turning off shadows, and it helped my system drastically.

what about the gators? that is a predator too why cant you at least make them less harmfull. you still need them to build stuff but they make a lot of harm
