How much weight is inside the 20 foot container? I know a loaded 20 foot container is more than a pick up could be able to pull .
@Void_s3 жыл бұрын
Well nobody said it had something inside)) It could be just a Quick and cheap unit to move the empty contaners. Better than rent a full-size truck just to carry an empty box.

Building removal: here in Germany and Europe is in most cases done by SPMTs. Much more flexibility. And the small truck with crane for small containers (last but one video): its crane steering is crappy and from the 1970ies. Driver not only has to operate the crane from a fixed stand but to use handles that directly control the hydraulic valves - that's crap!
@Void_s3 жыл бұрын
But this dead-simple setup is quite cheap and needs only a minor and cheap maintenace sometimes. Not a rocket since but extremelly cost-effective which may be the key criteria for recycling companies.
@grokranfan85783 жыл бұрын
@@Void_s Nevertheless it is crappy as the cranedriver has no chance for smooth-steering the crane.

The straddle carrier is nothing new. They have been used in lumber yards in the U.S.A. for many years, and other jobs also, like loading rail cars and moving boats out of dry dock.
@Void_s3 жыл бұрын
And I cannot call it an "inexpensive alternative" to other variants. This carrier is a quite costy thing.
