I disagree. There are 2 examples where she said she remembered something and she remembered incorrectly. One was inconsequential..... a defendant's hair color. The other was very serious.... she accused the defendant of changing her story regarding whether or not she had custody of her child. Such information is important when it comes to making sentencing decisions. There is another time when she was giving a prison sentence she clearly said 8 years, it was really 18 years and she claimed she did say 18. Nope..... it's clear and recorded. Not mad at her..... she is human too. I just get tired of everyone saying she is perfect.......

I have almost zero idea of what the statistics would be on a judge upwardly deviating from the state's recommendation, but anecdotally I feel like it is rather rare. But once I heard the convictions, my shock subsided a bit.

1- I’d love to see the outcome of the guy who had guns removed due to PreTrials Diversion. Why didn’t the attorneys review any potential case law prior to the hearing? This is very interesting but how do you not know that you are precluded from owning weapons when done through PTD? If I am a betting person, I don’t see him getting those weapons back. He has the audacity to ask if he can purchase more weapons while she’s reviewing if he can get the weapons back. I think that’s the no-brainer. 2- I would love to see her judgment on the guy that wanted inpatient treatment that was dealing with those burglary charges. I’m a little concerned about the outstanding charges. 3- the guy that didn’t want felony drug court was very interesting one. I have never seen a defendant ever without the presence of an attorney. One would think that you would have an attorney represent you in that matter. It doesn’t necessarily mean that one is required to be represent.

She's not giving her opinion based on life experience. Obviously, I'm not talking about the abusive stuff. I heard her opinion on good discipline that does not spoil the child, but doesn't abuse the child either and it wasn't good. As a good, caring and loving parent one knows when and what discipline to use. She supports no discipline, weirdly. I promise her mother used loving discipline on her, which is why she's close to her mom now and why she turned out as she did. Other than her stance on the discipline of children, I like her. I buried my high school son, my dad, my mom and had my husband diagnosed with terminal glioblastoma (which is 1.5 yr life after dx) ALL in the last 18 months. I'm not on the street with criminal acts against me. This is absurd. He is a grown up young man. Nip it in the bud now. She is a fair judge and seems to treat everyone like her child. Taking time to think about a sentence shows that she is clearly trying to do right by the defendant and is taking into consideration all things that are going on with this young man. The other man who is clearly battering and terrorizing his family deserves exactly what she gave him. The look on his face when all of the years of battery, choking and terrorizing his family came to the final jail sentence, PRICELESS! He is a grown man terrorizing the females in his family. Time to man up!
