I picked up the Crates because the challenge was "Cant buy anything in the shop, only steal" for me, so Crates would be unaffected by that :D And honestly I think the Luck in the run was insane. I don't really know it, but I don't know how other Elites would've been and I feel like I got really good items/weapons. Dont get me wrong, the Padding was nuts cursed, but it wasn't necessary to win over a non-cursed Padding, though it helped for sure

In vampire Srsivols if you get mex arm early in a run it get -50% damis and the evolved life scanner can give you more arm so if you get 10 arm you can't die to Reaper.

Would Dex agree to make a run where, every wave you need to buy and swap weapons (at least 2 weapons swapped each wave, keeping one weapon would only last for 5 waves before swap) and make it last until defeated? 🤔 Appropriate title of the run would be "Master of None" and Dex can choose his Brotato runner and hopefully get +2 cursed fish hooks in this run if possible 😎😁

Yes, and every attack speed level up he took was wasted. He does it every time he’s taken ball and chain. Personally, I think ball and chain is the MOST useless item in the game as it renders a stat completely useless (attack speed).

okay dumb challenge idea: Gotta Go Fast! Playing speedy, you are only allowed to take speed boosts on level up and must buy all speed boosting items you find in the shop, locking them in the shop until you can afford them. SPEED IS LIFE! also you cannot buy any item that reduces your speed.

Dex, any chance of you making a guide video on this brotato DLC? just got it and I just cannot beat Danger 5 no matter what I do, even when I have a good start with a red cursed lute doing like 100 dmg the first elite spawns in and 3 shots me, no amount of focusing armor or HP regen ever saves me from any of the BS the game throws at me

Generally speaking HP has to me more value and armor is something that's better taken in chunks, like a +3 or +2 if it's really low. My goal for 20 is usually around 20 armor but that depends on the run. All in all I'd say its more important to be tankier compared to the old map, just because cursed enemies deal so much damage you can get nuked easily. And with the DLC a lot of ways to heal got added, so combining several is a good idea IMO, and going ranged builds first to learn patterns but also to be able to stay at a distance.

Pretty much all videos are published as "member first" right as I upload them, and then they get released in the usual daily schedule. Well, this one here was a first try, but most of these challenges fail relatively early. There I almost say the same things for every challenge with minor changes depending on what I learned. But this is of course changed when I find different routes/weapons/items and the later it goes the more it's a "first time" experience for me

Yea, his only downside is -100% Damage, but if you get a Hand run going you'll have a ton of Harvesting and will be able to buy more compared to other chars. The -100% Damage & Engineering penalty is quite something, but if we consider longterm Endless that barely puts a dent into it. Alternatively, a build fully focused on HP, HP Regen and Armor may also work, but that just sounds painful and boring since you do nothing at all

WHY do you always take ball and chain then keep trying to stack attack speed? Ball and chain completely negates all attack speed bonuses as it permanently caps your attack speed while also making ghost flints’ buff useless. 😂 It actually kills me inside when I see you take ball and chain and always forget it slows your weapons down while capping attack speed.

It seems there is a misunderstanding going on. Ball and Chain sets the minimum attack speed to 0.75. If your cooldown is 5 seconds, it stays 5 seconds. You can still get attack speed until you hit 0.75, then it stops.
