@EldenKing73 ай бұрын
@@michaelpilgrim3123because their defense is probably the strongest in the entire euros playing with 3 defensive midfielders and controlling the midfield against every team. If upamaguire doesnt make one of his individual fails 1 goal from mbappe is enough for them even if its a penalty or a forced own goal. Thats how france plays. 3 defensive midfielders = less offense. Thats not beautiful to watch for us but it obviousely works. I would not be surprised if they beat portugal and spain or germany the same way😅 edit: rabiot is banned for the quarters but camavinga most likely will act the same as rabiot and more defensive as he usually does😁

Jean-Marc Bosman just casually changing the future of football forever
@theghostofbabanovac70693 ай бұрын
The Jean-Marc Bosman trial and subsequent ruling by the European Court of Justice in 1995 undeniably revolutionized football. The decision to lift the restrictions on the number of foreign players a club could field dismantled existing structures, leading to a more liberal and competitive market for talent. However, this shift also had significant implications for smaller and mid-sized clubs, often to their detriment.The ruling enabled top clubs to sign an unlimited number of foreign players, drastically increasing their competitive advantage. Prior to the Bosman ruling, clubs like Real Madrid or Barcelona were limited in the number of foreign players they could have on their roster. Under those constraints, it would have been impossible for Real Madrid to sign all their current Brazilian stars-Endrick, Vinicius Jr., Militao, and Rodrygo-alongside established non-Spanish players like Kroos and Modric. In a pre-Bosman world, smaller clubs had a greater chance to attract top talents who couldn't find spots in the rosters of major clubs due to the foreign player cap. This allowed clubs like Deportivo La Coruña, Villarreal, Celta Vigo, Betis, and Fiorentina to field world-class players such as Mauro Silva, Bebeto, Riquelme, Forlan, Makelele, Gustavo Lopez, Mostovoi, Denilson, Batistuta, Rui Costa, and Edmundo. The restriction on foreign players in top clubs created a spillover effect, distributing talent more evenly across leagues and enhancing competition.This more equitable distribution of talent led to a more competitive league environment. It was harder for clubs like Real Madrid or Barcelona to dominate every season when other teams also had access to top-tier players. The presence of superstars in smaller clubs provided them with the "weapons" necessary to challenge the giants, leading to more unpredictable and exciting competitions. If mid-sized or smaller clubs could attract high-caliber international players, it would undoubtedly boost fan excitement, increase attendance, and elevate the club's profile. This, in turn, would attract more sponsorship deals, higher media coverage, and additional revenue streams. The appeal of watching talents like Roberto Sosa and Marcio Amoroso at Udinese or Dario Silva and Dely Valdes at Málaga illustrates how a star player can significantly enhance a club's allure.Before the Bosman ruling, clubs from smaller countries like Ajax, Celtic, Rangers, Anderlecht, and Benfica were perennial contenders in European competitions. These clubs could build dynasties and remain competitive at the highest levels. Post-Bosman, the concentration of talent in wealthier leagues and clubs has made it nearly impossible for these teams to maintain their former glory. They have become "decent at most," struggling to compete against the financial might of clubs from the big leagues.

The only winner of the Super Ballon d'or. And won 2 ballon d'ors and it only existed when he was past 30 Messi himself has only won 3 past the age of 30 he could easily won at least 4 Ballon d'or if it existed since he began playing the game.

Another excellent vid! One thing I do not understand is why football didn't get a waiver(?) from the EU? The cinema industry does not follow the "freedom of movement" for employees. Back in the day, the "3 foreigners rule" kept clubs like AC Milan from stockpiling non-Italian players. The reason I thought football should have received a waiver, considered the fact that every player gets paid their salaries if they're starters, sitting on the subs bench or sitting in the stands watching because of injury, suspension or "coach's decision". Not too many jobs pay for not performing....

They make so much money off this. That's why if you want to get paid you go to Europe especially England if you want the big wages. If you are a national team and you want to send the best players you got, you send them to Europe because the competition is huge over there. UEFA has the power and it shows. Plus if your team gets into the Champions League it's all about the money you get the further you get into the draw. Obscene riches from a club to whatever they want with when it comes to player salary, upgrading the stadium, hiring more people, etc. Then you got the businesses and hotels that see an increase in revenue from more games. It really drives the economy in those cities and countries if your team can make it further into the Champions League.

With all the respect UEFA produce 4 billion per year the winner of the UCL gets 100 million?? , you have to pay the players , recuperate them when they are playing for the national teams , and fight with oil rich countries to get players and increase the prices of transfer at the time that they inflate there earnings. Super league might be a better ways to grow for clubs and to be able to control the money in football at the end the 14 big teams are going to be big anyway, the little ones have it impossible to compete against the biggest teams look at ligue one for example.
... Who did you choose betwen. Germany and england UEFA?
@wilstewart57433 ай бұрын
A lot of UEFA’s opponents are quite thick. One of their lines is that UEFA steals money from the clubs who participate in the champions league. They distribute 93 % of their ucl revenue back to the clubs who play in the champions league. You see a similar line when people cry about the fact that Real Madrid get £100million out of a £2billion prize pot. Like you can’t give the winner of the comp 99% of the prize money because then the opponents won’t turn up!. Even if you don’t believe the uefa accounts they are audited by the usual accounts firms who’d face criminal sanctions for colluding with uefa to cover bribes and thefts uefa may do. As a result the claims of uefa corruption don’t stand up to scrutiny. On super league matters, the claims by Anas Laghrari, John Hahn and Bernd Reichart who own the super league company are laughable. They are not motivated by democratic goals they are motivated by financial and anti competitive objectives. The super league was about removing financial risk from football. Like there are too many teams in the champions league so clubs get less of the overall pie, a certain club wins the competition so many times thus decreasing sponsorship revenues for our club so let’s exclude them etc, no guaranteed games due to lots of Knockout games so less revenue etc. I’d rather trust governance of European football to uefa, a non profit organisation in Europe over an organisation owned by a Moroccoan and American created to serve the interests of other Americans seeking a quick ROI for their investment

4.3 billion sounds a bit low for the worlds most popular game. The NFL makes 4x that a year. For a sport that’s only popular in North America.
@magikman13373 ай бұрын
It's not that UEFA's revenue is low, it's that American sports revenue is absolutely insane. The organizers squeeze every penny they can out of sports in America. Think about how many ads are shown during an NFL game compared to any football game and it starts to make sense.
@matthewlowrey15813 ай бұрын
If you search it up it’s actually insan how much of a scam the nfl is. Around a third of a game is just watching ads while only an average of 11 minutes is spent on the game. It’s so low tha more time is spent watching replays (17 mins) then their is actually game to watch. Plus their ads are spread out through the game while footballs is only at half time where people just ignore the screen anyways
@olavbjortomt15963 ай бұрын
UEFA is not a league, like the NFL or EPL, it's a governing body, so the revenue comparison isn't really appropriate. Also, it is only the European governing body, not the world governing body like FIFA. There are many more factions in world football so total revenue is far more fragmented.
