The awesome thing about Blueman's maps is that they are not so annoyingly hard that you have to repeat a level like 500 times. Instead it does present a new challenge each time, but it's always manageable

For the shader thing, it's not that 1.17 makes it possible to activate the Super Secret Settings, but it allows Ressource Packs to include custom shaders, which means the legend who made this map also most likely coded a shader for it

what this also meant is that now things that were never possible before in vanilla (optifine-like shaders, custom 3d models, and much much much much much more) are now possible.

@@colevilleproductions Optifine-like shaders aren't _really_ possible yet without hacks, and custom models have been supported for a while Still incredibly exciting stuff though! I just need to learn GLSL now

@@h3ftymouse the optifine like shaders are often buggy, but there are a few (like quixotic, for instance) and I should have specified custom models with complex geometry, like something made in blender can now be imported into the game. and same, I have a few ideas that I have no idea how to do yet lol

What makes Bluemans maps so good is that he doesn’t up the difficulty by adding ridiculous jumps or making the jumps harder, but my adding new mechanics or combining mechanics like the addition of the pulse shulks in this map.

This is next level. People don't make maps for Java Edition as much as they used to because of the Bedrock Marketplace, but the Java Edition engine is much more powerful when it comes to customization than Bedrock when properly utilized. Shoutout to TheBlueMan and Benjamin for their exquisite work, truly beyond impressive.

The super secret shaders would not be corrected with 3D glasses. The colors diverge in the wrong direction. With 3D glasses you get depth perception because red and blue are widely separated for close objects and that separation decreases as the distance increases. It might give you some really trippy reverse 3D though, where distant objects look close and close objects look far away.

It looks like I'm in the minority, but I'm not a fan of the cinematic shots. When I watch a let's play, I like seeing what the player sees, and there were a couple of sections on this map where you did an entire "puzzle" while in a cinematic shot. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed watching and listening to your commentary, I just feel the video could be improved with using cinematic shots more sparingly. Keep up the awesome content and I can't wait to see what you play next ❤️

If Sparklez is so impressed by the cutscenes from this map, wait 'til he plays TheFloonetwork's Harry Potter map; yeah there's no automated voice acting, but the size of that map is titanic (billions of blocks, tens of side-quests, more than 10 hours of gameplay, custom spells and equipment), etc. I could go on and on, but I deeply urge CP to glance at this behemoth map.

It's not that you can enable super secret shaders with a resource pack, you can WRITE YOUR OWN SHADERS with a resource pack, it's not as powerful as something like Optifine or Iris, but people have still done some really cool stuff with it, someone has even made a resource pack that enables ray-tracing! (Although the result isn't that polished)

Yeah, the lag was visible. That wasn't the case in the stream, maybe it's because of replay mod? 12:05 The background music sounds like the ones that would play in "true scary stories" narration videos. The higher notes also remind me of Avatar: the Last Airbender's "Puppetmaster" episode. 16:00 I like the music, I think he turned it down compared to the stream, though.
