@@BeeWaifu I don’t see Syria surviving as a state after this. But this has been long known since the beginning of this nasty civil war. Turkey will swallow up huge swaths of northern & eastern Syria while claiming it’s to stop the Kurds. A Kurd state will likely gain independence somewhere in the west if not sniffed out by Turkey & given enough support from the Americans. Israel will likely permanently occupy the Golan heights & even larger parts in the south. The few densely populated pockets of cities like Damascus, Homs, & Aleppo who fall under these various insurgent groups will turn into small Muslim kingdoms likely bickering over what remains. Syria as a singular state doesn’t have much of a shot again. This is just a repeat of history though. As Syria has always been conquered by various foreign empires going back to the Persians, Greeks, Romans, Parthians, Mongols, Turks, & countless dozens others. Their mistake is having a bad starting location in the center of the middleast.

I’m baffled by what many in the Western world fail to grasp. I live in Sweden, and even though I’ve never traveled to Syria myself, my mother is from there. As a Christian minority, it pains me to witness how, in 2024-2025, the chaos that began with the Arab Spring in 2011 has transformed into an opportunity for terrorist groups to take control. This is not a revolution for freedom-it’s a fight led by extremists who have infested the region with violence and terror, impacting us in Europe and America, and most devastatingly, the Middle East. Our media nowadays portrays these groups in a positive light, rebranding them with names that sound more neutral; in my opinion, they still reflect extremist ideologies. The difference is clear: there are people who believe they can govern through strength and control; just take a look at the average Syrian bus/taxi driver, who will offer solutions as if he were in power. But when you ask a senator the same question, you get a completely different answer. With this I mean that when you have to many opinions to loudly like they are in the middle-east you will always have a bigger possibility of a coup d'état to overthrow the government which always results in more war, because no one is happy with all the regulations that happening but they have too much pride in order to live with that everything is not so great, even though it never has. We, in the Western world, lead comfortable lives with our families and often overlook these complexities, especially when we contribute through taxes but feel like we receive little in return. We sometimes see immigrants framed negatively, yet many are escaping persecution and violence. It’s crucial to remember the sacrifices made by American families whose children fought bravely to protect their homeland from terror. Now the same media cherish the same group their soldiers fought against. For those who think this is a fight for freedom, I ask: can we realistically expect groups like the Taliban, or those similar to them, to build infrastructure, healthcare, or education? Would they negotiate for telecommunications, welcome business fairs, or genuinely care about democracy, women's rights, or children's well-being? The reality is no. Their focus is on control and fear, not on building a better society. Therefore in countries like Syria, Iraq and others - you need a person that is feared to stand against because otherwise everyday will be a revolution. Furthermore, Bashar al-Assad has reached out for help, and the response from leaders like Donald Trump was to step back, claiming it wasn't their war. Yet I saw many videos from civils in Syria filming dead talibans with US-Weapons - same groups, sporting different names today, continue to bring war and devastation while wielding weapons provided from US and Turkey. It’s striking how individuals facing dire poverty can afford such costly arms - right? They can´t afford a piece of bread but at the same time holding weapons for more than $10k each... Lastly, supporting the overthrow of the government aligns with a fondness for the very groups responsible for horrible acts on September 11, 2001, or the attacks in Paris and Stockholm. Let's be clear: not every prisoner is innocent, and many took up arms to face their government, something we do not see in the U.S. or Europe. If you cherish this, just remember the same group with different name - who send children in bombvests to blow themselves up in their Allah´s name. Can´t wait to see the development of this country. I can bet my kidney on that it will not be flowers in the park, children with whatever clothes they like to wear is playing in different amusements, neither women in shorts or guys who tells you which candidate that they will vote for. Before you comment, think deeply about the narratives shaped by media. Remember that these are the same groups that, just five years ago, broadcast horrific acts of violence live on television. It’s time for us to strive for understanding and clarity amidst the chaos, instead of falling for misleading portrayals. And also - This is WORLD LEADING MEDIA. Thank you for reading. Feel free to go against me and I´ll share some more proof, only responding to comments worth reading. Lastly, places like Sednaya, one of the oldest Christian sites, have seen terrible events, including the kidnapping of bishops and the suffering of four nuns who got r aped by ISIS. My cousins went there to witness the sights that exist in the old city when they got to meet the nuns. The nuns suffer from PTSD and would not talk about this because they ashaming themselves for letting this happen. Survivors of these acts often feel ashamed of what happened to them, even though they were victims of violence. I encourage everyone to think deeply and approach these topics with compassion. It’s vital to seek the truth and support those who genuinely need our help instead of getting lost in media narratives.

Why is dispute and conflict “insane”? It’s been happening since the dawn of man.
@Birdy8907 күн бұрын
Because murder is insane. All you have to do is read the story of Caine and Abel, God himself asks Caine why he's so mad and Caine can't justify it. It is by definition insane, doesn't matter how long it's been going down.
@basedmongoloid22787 күн бұрын
@@Birdy890 Cain and Abel is one story of conflict out of thousands if not millions from history and fiction. Citing one instance where it wasn't justified is not an argument that conflict is insane, nor that all conflict amounts to murder, nor that it isn't normal. Saying it was "insane" implies Cain had no motive whatsoever and that he just did it, but the truth is that everyone who reads the story understands he had a motive, and it was jealousy. Does that mean it was justified? No, but that also doesn't mean it was insane or random. Similarly, there are many conflicts which may not be totally justified, but calling them insane is disingenuous because there is always a motive.
@Birdy8907 күн бұрын
There was a Japanese man that burned down a studio, murdering several people in the process because he saw their adverts on the train and they angered him. Does it make him any less insane because he had a motive? Is that what you're trying to argue?

Why not? What definition of insane and since the dawn of man are you using that makes the two incompatible? Seems to be they're very much compatible.

I'm a citizen from Damascus, so I'll explain things from our view. Just an hour ago, Israel started bombing Syrian Chemical Facilities (where they store many weapons). The Syrian future is brighter than ever. The HTS promised us many things, and from what we're seeing, they're handling things correctly. The nominees for Presedential Placements are all well chosen. In just the next month or two, they promised: 1) Make electricity shifts 24/7 (they used to be 1h every 6 hours, and in the past 3 weeks it was ranging from 10-30minutes only. That's only one part of Damascus, it's way worse in other places) 2) Distribute fuel and gas equally among all the country. 3) Create a new currency that will overcome the hyper-inflation in Syria. Now on the commuinity side, it's a bit rogue but it's getting controlled. Pictures of Bashar Al-Assad are getting stomped on and burned, there was shootings everywhere for celebrations, all markets or businesses afilliated with/ or belong to the previous governorate all got destroyed and stolen, and most people are afraid. Alhamdulilah God is with us and we'll keep going forward as a nation, as Syrians and as proud Muslims
@Azobim6 күн бұрын
It's interesting to hear your perspective. Do you think the different groups and factions can now work together after the regime's fall? I believe the only way forward is achieving peace among all cultures and communities. For instance, could HTS and the Kurds coexist and respect each other's presence, or is the hate too deep (if it exists)? I also feel that foreign military influences-whether from Russia, the USA, Iran, Israel, or Turkey-have negatively impacted your country, I think Syria should try to get rid of all those influences.
@hasanbate26 күн бұрын
Outsiders will always have influence on Syria. It's just the way it is. But after HTS took over, this influence changes. Things will get better because after Al-Assad went away USA is happy about it, and Europe will start sending all the Syrian refugees back to Syria which they will invest here so it should be a great step forward. The current leading group/s are trying to create peace, so they'll find a way to make things work

John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Mark 1.15 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Hebrews 11:6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Jesus

Now Turks are celebrating, thinking that they will create the new ottoman empire. The funniest thing is that soon they'll have to live under the ottoman rule, with Sultans and no human rights and no elections. Just like ottoman empire 😂

@@Zephyr-b4v what you wrote just goes to show how clueless you are. We aren't celebrating because "Hurrah! Ottoman empire is back!" No. We are celebrating because PKK terrorists got captured during these conflicts and it was a massive blow to them.
