Honestly the best thing these victims can do is publicize it. When China calls, livestream the hell outta it. Post it online and let the world judge. Do not face it alone. 1 person speaking out, sure its probably false. But thousands with similar testimonies? Now thats something. China keeps talking about respecting laws and sovereignty - now its time to keep them accountable to international laws and sovereignty. If China wants to escalate, then lets escalate this. Challenge their rule and have no fear doing so.

Except that will get their family members back home disappeared... I've heard that sometimes if they are having trouble getting in contact with someone abroad, they'll go to their parents or another relatives house, make them voice call the person, and get a surprise from the police/CCP official in the background threatening their family members safety if they don't return. There are already thousands and thousands of well known publicized testimonies of this stuff happening unfortunately.

Unlike many dictators, the Chinese system is actually smart and knows what it's doing, which makes it all the more scary. If China maintains such a tight grip on its international students, perhaps its not the best idea to host them. I've encountered too many jingoist testimonies in the comments section written by Chinese students in the West attacking their host countries. Edit: On the other hand, dehumanizing the West will be that much more difficult for students who lived here. Seeds of mutual understanding are planted, though the CCP is effectively poisoning the soil. My concern is that the STEM students are taking their knowledge acquired here to be used against us. Maybe access to hard sciences should be curtailed, while keeping an open door for the humanities.

Especially if you're black the city allows businesses and institutions to under pay you despite your educational background or qualifications, so you can't afford to pay rent or move a head and if you're barely getting by or doing well as a black person you're over taxed and harassed by the police. If you own a business, property or a home your taxes and tickets double. You're inspected with a fine tooth comb and they try to shut you down.
