Combined with a state economy, meaning the profits from international sales would go to the government rather than the business, and you have a hell of a recipe for a domestic black market. Why make drugs for the government and see none of the proceeds, when i can sell it to local addicts and squeeze them for everything? That's why Purchasing Power Parity Exist, because by nominal value, even if you take two same stuff with same quality, their prices would very much differ within different places and countries Even then, there is no argument, NK people are trully low income, but again, it's not like they live within the same market economy, food is perhaps their most important spending, rather than their housing or education.

Can you do a video on Indonesia lifting the ban on sand export? I saw an article that said it might cost the economy. I always enjoy your environmental videos!

I know this is probably a mistake but at 15:27 the map shows Crimea as a part of Russia.
@volodymyr3169Күн бұрын
Please fix the map of Ukraine 15:35. Crimea is recognized by UN as Ukrainian territory. Unfortunately, russian state spreads a lot of such maps on royalty-free websites

You used a wrong map of the russo-Ukrainian border, Crimea is Ukrainian region not russian

Not sure what happened to my previous comment. Anyways: with just a quick glance at your pastebin link for sources: many of those are dubious at best, many with an extremely heavy bias putting factuality in question. If i may some starting points for you mr. Hoser and anyone else interested in this topic. “My brothers and sisters in the north” is a fascinating documentary available here on youtube showing daily life in north korea. For context about situation on korean peninsula as a whole, blowback season 3 is excellent, thoroughly researched information. If you or anyone else takes the time to watch/listen to my recommended starting points, would love to hear your opinions on these. Much love from here in Los Angeles

0 mention of why the sanctions were applied in the first place, ignoring the historical context and in doing so reinforcing the dominant narrative. How is that not propaganda? I liked the video as the modern information is interesting, most propaganda is truth obfuscating lies.

@@dovahkitty3916 Why sanctions were applied in the first place? Lol, look at the state of freefom of speech and other basic human rights in NK, UN saw this and sanctiond it into oblivion (which is deserved).
