Well... The Clippers just won, so that means if the Jazz win the series it will need to go seven games, giving him more time, and if the Clippers win the series, they will be without Kawhi. I think that helps this situation quite a bit. If the Suns can get through the conference championship without him, or with him for two or three games -he should definitely be there for the finals.

I don't get why the NBA hasn't updated their Covid protocols more reasonably. They're back to 100% full arenas and expect their players to have to quarantine after having taken the vaccine. It should be testing three days apart if the player has negative tests. Ten days is far too long.

I can agree with this. I hate the notion of blaming coaches, because players are paid 4-5 times more than the coaches. So it doesn’t make sense when coaches take the bulk of the blame and takes a pinch of the glory but when you can’t command your best player to his strengths and allow him to fall to bad habits, it’s gonna ripple through the team. They made that change in G6 in that win, but let’s see. If they don’t come out of the East, he’s getting fired.

actually it’s not highly likely. he could have little to no symptoms but the virus can still be there. and ultimate it’s based on testing negative, not being assymptomatic. having a vaccine immune response can shed the virus faster but not always much faster

that said, I just mean early as in not much earlier than 10 days. and it’s definitely possible-I just meant it’s not “no doubt”. More likely is probably still close to 9 days. a week to shed the virus and then 1 day for 2 negative tests and a day for cardiac screening. most likely is next Wednesday-Thursday. Monday-Tuesday possible but I think he needs a lucky ‘strong’ immune response to shed the virus that fast.

@@BaithNa it shouldn't matter if James tested positive or not. The NBA set guidelines/rules and one of them was for a player not to attend gatherings. The gathering James attended required a negative test result or be vaccinated in order to attend. The NBA went off of that, the rules that that gathering set forth. It isn't fair because the NBA also went based off the gathering's rules. It's only fair if the NBA made James follow their own rules, which is the health and safety protocols, AND follow that gathering's rules as well.
