This song is definitely a lot bigger than its chart position! As you said, every romantic comedy has used this in trailers... "Jerry Maguire", 'Mr. Deeds", "The Adam Project", "How Do You Know", etc.

Bravo, Janda! I always find myself, mouth agape with your behind the scenes song stories, including for this ditty! 😊

Thank you Janda for another lucid presentation! I've been listening to the Who since 'Mary Ann with the shaky hands' but have never heard of this ditty and am now on my way to find it. Meher Baba was the Indian Guru who stopped speaking for about 40 years until his death. He communicated by pointing at the letters of the alphabet on a tablet.

Good insight into Pete, the Band after Moon and this song. A lot changed in 80's music, But Pete kept it real. Thanks for the working on it. Let's keep em coming!

Great breakdown of the song, Janda. I always remember the seen in Gross Point Blank when Tommy stares into Blanks eyes. This is one of three superb songs on the album though. Nice work.

Great video again Janda. Can't wait to see what's next. There are so many great classic rock songs yet to explore. One I would really like to see is 45 by Shinedown. I've heard Brent Smith talk about it years ago after he had gotten sober, but it's still pretty fascinating.

Fascinating backstory. A time of great transition and turmoil for both Pete & the Who. Makes one appreciate this recording even more. Thanks for another great BTS, Janda.

Peter was and still is an elite artist. He has special skills when songwriting.glad he had his couple big hits off empty glass. Townsend was definitely not an empty Glass during this period.

I'm enjoying your videos as a new subscriber. I really think you should include 10 second snippets of the songs you are referring to in your long-form stories, perhaps several. It would really help to give context to what you are discussing. For example, in this video, there are some perfect "jumping off" points where it feels like you are about to intro a clip of the song, but never do. Then you talk about the slowed down version of the song, which would have been a great moment to give a 10 second clip of that so listeners can hear what you are talking about. And I don't believe including the short clips will cause any copyright strikes because 1) you are reviewing it, and 2) the length of the clip would be within limits allowed to prevent infringement. Otherwise... good stuff!
