Influencers in the beauty community should start expanding on how it is so inconsistent and difficult to find shade matches BECAUSE humans do not have yellow, orange, or pink skin!!! Let's start calling out the ridiculous shades they give us to choose from I am warm toned and I do not have yellow skin!!!! I have gold and Grey and red and pink tones. The first thing you see is my warmth. It's undeniable. Yet I can't find a shade to do me justice. People aren't shades of yellow. I have a popsocket-type stick on attachment that twists 360° so it can be used as a kickstand too and that's just more useful to me. It can be stuck on any case unless you have a lip balm holster 😅 so I don't think having a thing that holds one brand of lip balm is a better feature. In fact I attach a card/cash holder designed for phones first, then the popsocket thing on top of that, so I don't even need to take a wallet. The socket pushes down flat so it still fits in any pocket my phone fits in, whatever balm or oil gloss I want can go in the pocket too lol Not interested in doing free advertising for Rhode either.

The cloud paint bronzers are like 5 years too late at least. People have been begging them for a bronzer version of cloud paint for YEARS and they came out with their old shitty glitter bronzer instead lol. With all their formulation changes I don’t think they have the cult following anymore that they used to and people won’t bother with this drop.

The bronzers from LYS are super orange leaning. I will say a lot of bronzers turn orange on my pale olive skin, but this went straight orange fruit orange. It was wild.

I picked up two of the Lipsofties (Ube vanilla and blood orange vanilla) as well as one of the Haus Labs lip glazes (persimmon). They’ve been really great for my work where I have to talk for long periods of time with no opportunity to touch up. Fuss free and adding a little bit of color and moisture. The Tower 28 is definitely more hydrating but I enjoy both. The only downside for me was how bright and pigmented the blood orange one is. Like DAMN that is bright for a lip balm. Some people might really appreciate that though!

Persimmon is more similar to the ube vanilla from T28. Ube vanilla is a slightly darker burgundy but sheer so it can look pretty natural- similar to Clinique’s black honey.

I'm so glad you said that about Carmex being quite hard and solid. I grew up using carmex and that is how I remember it, but this year I had some strawberry Carmex in the squeeze tube and it is so thin and melty and messy!! I am so confused I literally told myself that every time I used it in my past it must have been cold, but I'm glad you remember it that way too because they def changed the formula!

I recently tried Gwen Stefani's powder blush and I was pleasantly surprised, I use the lavender type one she has, it is absolutely perfect for me as an extremely pale person with cool undertones.. There has a lighter color that you can use a bit larger and a darker color that you can use the blusher to really pop. Like I know her brand isn't very popular, ever since I used her collaboration with urban decay, her old eye shadow palate that I still used to this day, I always try and give her products at least a little bit of a try. It feels really nice to use over top blush stains as well the lighter color

I have the strawberry letter perfume and I was not impressed. It smells more masculine and it does not give off sweet strawberry. Just musky with the tiniest bit of sweet. The dry down is not that great at all. I bought the mood ring too and it did not give gummy. I won’t be rebuying 😅

I’m very interested and intrigued by the new Danessa Myricks serum to powder primer and the other product that looks like their blurring cream to powder primer but it’s a much different consistency. I don’t really understand what it is. I’m definitely 💯 getting the new Refy mascara! The wand looks a little scary but they claim this mascara will hold your curl all day long. I ordered the new REM Bronzer and two of their new blushes. I’m excited to give them a try! I saw the Patrick Ta products coming out and I’m definitely going to purchase the new peach 🍑 blush in “She’s the Moment” it looks so gorgeous!!!

in terms of the Catrice Dupe for CT and why its better than the elf imo is 1. its not made in china like the elf, and 2 the most important reason which makes the elf's 1.5ml more of product useless is that the Catrice has a open life of 12 months vs the elf's measly 6. 2 bottles of elf round up to nearly a CT which lasts 12 months so either way the elf not a good deal
