She works in the medical field, absolutely loves furthering her education & told me that staying home 24/7 sounds like the most boring life possible. I know two 50ish women in my workplace who never had children because they were too focused on their jobs, and they missed their chance. The loneliness and bitterness is real. She's a nurse, so she makes a lot more money than I do, and that's perfectly fine. Sometimes she works the weekends and I take care of our son.
