Great interview, lovely to know that Hans is open to touring and making some merchandise! I love how Hans laughs at around 30.38 when he realises what lengths people were going to, just to find the band who wrote this song. He probably thinks we are all mad!

Completely agree. It must be SUCH a trip to see the fandom 40 years later.

Great interview, but it seems like nobody wants to ask about the actual version of the song that we'd all been searching for for decades. People seem to accept the demo version FEX provided. I would want to know what happened to the actual studio version of the song and hear each band member's recollection of recording it.

Very interested in this as well. I had found a different version on KZbin that sounds "brighter/cleaner" but I don't know enough about the timeline to know whether it was the full studio version, etc.

Now when you learn that FEX did not do it, and how Oliver from Elaine wrote the music in 1982 you will be amazed at how some people are capable of lying without any shame just so they can cash in from someone else's work.

It would have been interesting if Mr. Sievers had explained how TMS came from Elaine to FEX.

Oliver wrote the music in 1982. We called him recently and he said he does not want to talk about it. Something bad has happened back then. We will try again later on, I hope he will talk to us about it regardless.

@@Dino_Buk Isn't there someone else we could get more info from? If Oliver doesn't want to talk about it, I don't think it would be fair if we pressurised him. Especially if it's related to memories of some bad events in his life. He'd probably never admit, since he knows he won't just be left alone, and he likely doesn't want to deal with all the publicity. As important as this song might be to us, if we care about its authors, we shouldn't want them to feel uncomfortable by potentially opening some old wounds. It would be good if we could at least reveal the truth, without getting Oliver involved personally. If he decides to step forward himself, he'll do it.

I didn't expect Hans the drummer would have a semi-british accent

Are you sure you didn't want to wait to make this video?? It's only been public knowledge for two months.
