Lol, it is wild how nobody in the world disliked Idubbbz until he started trying to be a better person. The better he gets, the more people hate him. The worse Same Hyde gets, the more people love him.

This is how the internet has always worked. But the hit piece on Sam that Ian and Anisa planned wasn't about him being a better person at all. Sam tried connecting to him and Ian sat in his car and sulked the whole time. PC culture is more toxic than any trolling has ever been. Ian couldn't make Sam look bad no matter how hard he tried, so he threw a tantrum and banned him from everything. It ended up backfiring on Ian. I wouldn't say these people are good people. This isn't a bad man, good man scenario. Sam just exposed Ian's virtue signalling as a stupid act to fit in, and that he's like every other content creator and worships money. That is what I got from it after watching both sides. Sam did what Sam always does....but iDubbbz messed up and exposed part of himself that he shouldn't have....proving he isn't the "puppet master" after all.

Not the OnlyFans stuff, but that she has full control over what content he's putting out. That's not very "puppet master" like. Not one single woman that I've been in a relationship with has ever dictated what I do as a job or hobby. I find that really strange and off putting that a significant other would care about what content you make. Most good partners just care about stability and emotional support....not trying to control you. Red flags and personality disorders are pretty easy to spot

Idubbbz got upset because he wanted to be the first guy to ever make a documentary about the "real" Sam Hyde. The Daily Stormer is more "extreme far right" than "alt-right", no? I mean, they're literal Nazis. I'm still trying to figure Sam Hyde out myself and there is something to him that intrigues me. He's definitely his own man, that's for sure. I do tend to like people that 'don't give a fuck' in the right way; but really, I've heard him say some really sketchy stuff about women too, and it's impossible to tell if he's being serious or not. I simply can't imagine being associated with something like the Daily Stormer and not clarifying if it isn't the truth. He seems to care a lot about his artistic career... So why not just clarify, if it wasn't him that donated?

@@ExtraMintyy Yeah... and I find it frustrating, because I do find myself being drawn back to his content and I like a lot about him. He has balls, he has talent, he can really funny and is really quite original. At times, he seems to give off really positive vibes and I find myself wondering if I'm just missing the joke; at other times I can't relate to him at all and he seems genuinely hateful/aggressive. But, like I said, I'm still trying to figure him out - I haven't made my mind up yet. Maybe that's his thing? Maybe he knows it'll keep certain people intrigued? Who knows... but I don't hate him. He's a fucking enigma. Definitely something about the guy... keeps me intrigued.

I do think that’s an interesting point though, perhaps it is his ambiguity that keeps us interested and checking back. Maybe without it he would lose a lot of attention. I think with his more dedicated fans the whole lack of understanding outsiders express in regards to his humour makes them more connected in a sense, like they’ve been let in on some secret club. But I don’t believe there’s anyone that fully gets him, maybe outside of Nick Rochefort.

The very journalists that ask him this stuff....he already knows what they're going to ask because they're typically void of any humor and don't understand sarcasm. Basically lolcows. Sam despises them because they come off as social elite that have all the answers and frequently do hit pieces while being clueless....and the public just goes along with it. I mean how many times has 4chan reported him as a school shooter and the media has ran with it? Sam will never give a serious interview to someone he despises. Most people didn't know the girl that won was an actual paid actress. Sam won't tell you he's paying people, but you have to remember they had THE most popular running Adult Swim show at that time. If Sam said today that he's just playing a part....people would just lose interest and he would start fading into obscurity like all the other past KZbin stars that are getting wrapped up in identity politics and worrying about writing watered down PC family friendly "I've matured" content. Basically throwing in the towel. The Adult Swim show got cancelled because Sam said it would die anyway, so might as well make it so ridiculous that it's over the top. He said a lot of shows that weren't as bad were already getting cancelled at the time and he knew it wouldn't run for another season because the way censorship was going. Basically it's just a whole anti-censorship FU to the people trying to destroy art and creativity.
