I just wanna say, like legit, I am SO happy people care for him. I know he's a meme now, but I cared way before all of that. Since like, Mario Power Tennis on the Gamecube, I always wanted Waluigi to shine in someway in a main Mario game. When he was a trophy in Smash Brawl, I saw more potential. All I'm sayin' is I do hope they at least hear our voices. Much like Daisy, I think Waluigi deserves at LEAST one shot at non-Mario Party/Sports fame.

Nintendo once again fails at what modders managed to succeed at years ago. Instead of Palet swap characters, modders simply put a similar graphic on the same character (moveset). I'd say the biggest reason people are upset about Waluigi is because this would have been his very first big win. Ridley by comparison is already a huge part of the metroid series and is Samus's most recognizable villain. What does Waluigi even have? This isn't people whining about Waluigi not being in smash, people are upset because he has nothing and Nintendo doesn't take our appreciation of him seriously. If you can't put him in smash then give him a spin off, make him the main antagonist of something or make a Mario rpg game focusing on wario and Waluigi. If it fails then I guess he wasn't as popular as we thought, but just give us a chance to show how much we've loved this purple guy since he stepped onto the court.

Characters don't get picked for Smash because they don't win enough, they get picked because they win, period.

Tom de Kler Without being omniscient you can't reasonably make the assumption that you know the biggest reason for why people are upset about Waluigi, Many people can be upset and not post about it and is usually the majority that doesn't talk. And how does Waluigi not "deserve" to be a fighter? Plenty other characters could also have that statement apply to them (R.O.B, Duck Hunt, Mii Fit Trainer for example), Neither of them fight in there games and had move sets made up for them but they got added. While yes there is a large presence of memes related to Waluigi, There's also a large presence of people who genuinely like him and want him to be given the spotlight. And your statement about them only getting picked because they win is also invalidated just by looking at the roster. Many villains like Wolf, Ganondorf, and Ridley don't win in any game they show up in. Even daisy doesn't "win" in the main game she was in, It was you that won, The player/Mario. Being rescued doesn't count as winning, Daisy/Peach don't say "I did it!" when they are rescued they say things along the line of "You did it!" or "Thanks Mario!". Personally I want to see Waluigi get some form of the spotlight even if it is just being Warios "Player 2" in one of his games. TL;DR Don't assume and make cheap excuses. People aren't all clones of each other.

Brain Training, Wii Sports, Wii Fit, they were all games that did more than just entertain. The Wii Fit Trainer is an excellent representative of that monumental time in Nintendo's history as a tutorial character who's all about improving the person _behind_ the screen. Hence why all of her trophies are yoga tutorials. I'm not judging characters by "what would their moveset even be", I'm judging them on what they rep. Waluigi is a weak rep. "Many villains" Does no one read the OP anymore? I'm not talking about that kind of win. No one was. What Waluigi doesn't get is a chance at the *spotlight*. He *is* a Player 2, and a Dark Pit to Mario's own player 2. He was designed to be an Assist Trophy. Put him in an RPG game and we'll talk. But in the meantime, he does not deserve a spot on the fighter roster.

Daisy is an easy pick for echo fighter bit Waluigi isnt. That means Nintendo has to take more time to build him than Daisy. Ultimately Smash bros is not a Mario game but a Nintendo allstars game They need to take care of all franchises. He has beaten bowser on a 1v1 melee by his own, almost stole one of the star stamps, and was even the final boss after that, but sadly, he was defeated on his own Island... He is a beautiful dancer and almost exploded Mario on his castle and kept the musical key for his own! Too bad Mario showed him his moves... A rabbid cared enough to be him... Daisy kicked his ass in football and won a trophy for 5 constant years by this and sent Bowser into fucking space with a SINGLE slap. She is a beautiful gardener who can use flowers as minefields, uses flowers to deflect projectiles and use them as a light staircase. Also, she is a talented roller-skater that even Luigi was impressed by her roller-skating. Daisy has been a friend of Peach, has been go-karting but also playing baseball with her, even met and go-karted with Luigi since she was a baby. Get your facts straight.
