The Iron Age hill fort in Wittenham is an impressive monument. From behind its perimeter ramparts the hilltop offers commanding views of the Thames and the surrounding Oxfordshire landscape, but it is dwarfed and overlooked by a neighbouring hill less than 150 metres away.
