Because the EV's weren't already familiar with 108, It’s actually not a double standard it’s a single 09 reg seen enough to replace Citaro's that are old vehicle and don’t bother falsely bragging about 507/521 withdrawal after SEe37/8/9 then 40 went to Here East. Why can't ex-358 move from MG on the 108 or 360 EV's.

​@@CroydonBuses196 GAL would have the advantage of absorbing Citaro C2 all time was introduced 9 years ago, but maybe there will be a surprise for many MEC51-69 allocations and accidentily reinventing 54/56 or 60 where it had disappeared in late 2018 cause a blaze/ MEC51 on VOR. They've lost 4 citaro's.

493 can’t be fathomed by normal MEC's recruitment, didn't get the chance to push their cases for ex-358 Merton to perceive reality in a way Enviro200 for keeping it GAL once. Probably not replace lol.
