The character design of Griffin (Invisible Man) kind of reminds me of a DC villain character.

Funny that you mention that. Because Rein's portrayal was the inspiration Mark Hamil took for his Joker.

Claude Rains would make a great Joker with that maniacal cackle of his!
@usamazahid38822 жыл бұрын
Had he been The Joker in a Batman film perhaps in the 50s, then he would've been a great Joker. But still, his legacy along with his laugh is what Inspired Mark Hamill to play as The Joker in Batman TAS.
@soulzzplaysgames2 жыл бұрын
Well, he was specifically cast because of his voice, since he's invisible for the whole movie and couldn't use any facial expressions.

For a Horror film back in the 30s that used to scare the crap out of anybody, it really made me laugh my ass out loud, bruh. It really did made me laugh, man. RIP Claude Rains my friend, You had too much fun playing this character, Dawg. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO KNOW HOW THEY ACHIEVED THIS EFFECT IN 1933 They made him wear a black velvet onesy underneath his normal clothes, which covered his entire body including his head, and recorded him against a black velvet background. Anything black doesn't expose on a film strip, which means he would look like a floating suit. The black parts on the strip effectively become re-usable. They then filmed the normal background on the same strip, and only the black parts would end up being filled in. The technique is called "double exposure". It's basically a much more primitive version of modern day green screen.

Aw, man! I love the 30’s Invisible Man! Such a classic monster movie, and based off a really good book from none other than H.G. Wells! So, do you think you will do the “It’s alive!” Scene from Frankenstein? I’d love to see you animate that!
I love the addition of the own mob member holding up a crucifix while Griffin is removing his bandages.
