I’ve been using the health app a very long time. The medication still needs a little work but is getting there. It’s nice to print a list of meds when going to the doctor as they always want that. They need to make it so the dosage can be edited when the Dr changes dosage rather than having to archive old one and add the medication all over again with the different dosage

So for example of you have heart health and mobility data pinned those colours (red and yellow) will be in the coloured bar at the top of the main page. They also spin around!

@sethdavis70734 ай бұрын
@@breeze5378Do you mean extra phone line? You can buy a regular Apple Watch and have no need for an extra line. As long as it’s within Bluetooth range of your iPhone it will work (or WiFi range). Or, you can spend an extra $100 or so to get cellular capability, but even then you don’t HAVE to get an extra line if you don’t want to use cellular, and the Watch will function just like a non-cellular one. If you did want cellular on your watch, you would need to pay extra per month for that(on top of the added cost for the watch itself), but that’s usually only $10 per month or so with most carriers.

If I get vaccines it shows up and links there for places that allow it, which is key. I use it for medication. Sleeping. Blood oxygen feature. Mental wellbeing. And test results that can upload to the health automatically and I don’t have to wait for a doctor to call and tell me or go to that particular app because it’s synced to the health app and I get the notification for it. I'm not a fan of the medicine logging yet, you fully have to go into the app to log your medicines, with reminders you can just hold and press 'mark as completed'. Mine are not critical so it's nice to have the 'remind me in 1 hour' option in reminders, while with med logging it reminds again after 30 min and then the only option you have is to remind again in 10 minutes.

Here’s the thing tho. All these biometrics aren’t very meaningful without a way to compare to what the average is for your age/gender/weight across population. Like cool I can see this one metric go up or down, but I have no idea if that measurement is even ideal for my body/age/gender. Just a comparison to my own history. The data from Apple health should be anonymized and then uploaded to a pool for everyone to average to. This would also help identify areas of country that certain metrics would be worse than others and more meaningful healthcare resources could be allocated to that.
@friedcatfood4 ай бұрын
The thing is comparing your data to averages is mostly useless because there's too many factors to health to say "this is good for your age". You could log that you're 220lbs 5'11" and the app could tell you that's high, but how will it know if it's a problem? How does it know if most of those 220lbs are fat or muscle? How does it know your leg to torso proportions? Etc. The value in the Health app is to compare it to yourself in the past, which is the comparison that matters the most, to see if you're having a sudden complication, or if a set of new symptoms could be cause of concern, or to check if you're making progress losing fat.
