Watching this reminds me of the very disturbing footage from the Station Nightclub Fire of 2003 as well. RIP to all the people who perished in this Iraqi wedding hall :(

Those fireworks were unnecessary and shouldn't have been in a closed space. They should have taken those pictures outside. My heart goes out to the families that lost a loved one.🕊️🕊️❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

It's not great but it wouldn't have happened had the building's roof not been made of highly flammable materials

This has also happened in the Netherlands. In Volendam, the Christmas decorations caught fire during a New Year's party. Many young people were burned. After that time, only non-flammable decorations may be hung.Good luck to the people of this party😢

In Argentina also happened something similar at a concert in a nightclub (cromañon tragedy), someone used indoor pyrothecnics just like in the video annd the ceiling caughted in fire, there were inflamable building materials and the emergency exits were closed and chained. 194 people died and +1500 were injured. I think prime video is gonna make a documentary abouit it, people at first blame the band but there was corruption and negligence from the nightclub owners involved

Why would you have fireworks inside?? Even if the ceiling didn’t catch fire her dress could have. So idiotic! Too many people packed into a hall supposed to hold about 400. Why do you need 1000 people at your wedding?

I'm so sorry for you all!!! But whatever happens to us, we can try to give it a sense. As hard as it may be. And after all, I believe we are just so small humans. We see our pain and our life and believe it's already the whole picture. But probably we're just too restricted to see that it's only a very little detail of it...

at minute 21;40 and later , you can see a piece of fire go up from the tourch that makes the fire begin, maybe it was a piece of paper inside that tourch? also, that same tourch was the last to burn out .. ? maybe that tourch was bad? (or setup) . also, all the tourches was EXCATLY under that paper roof! thats weird .. whats also weird is that the fire goes very very very fast on the ceiling.. i dont think normal paper does go so fast?? maybe it is very thin paper, maybe with paint or glue ? anyway .. i dont think it is set up but it could be .. sorry for the lost peoples!! :(

The fire should not be a symbol for "a lack of public safety and corruption." It should be a symbol of carelessness and st*pidity, for igniting pyrotechnics below a ceiling full of paper decorations. Did no one learn anything from the Station nightclub fire in Rhode Island 20 years earlier?

Could have very well been the cold sparks not using the correct products or buying cheap Chinese machines with dry foliage that could start a fire. Sad to see so many lose there lives on their wedding day.

What was the need for fireworks inside an closed audittoriim with no safety exit. It's very scary feeling. That's y in islam celebrations are prohibited just because to avoid any just mishaps. Just lead a simple life in praise if allah. May Allah ease the families pain .
