George Macready, one of the greatest "villian actors" of all time. Everything from great westerns with Randolph Scott to auteur masterpieces from Stanley Kubrick and William Wyler like Paths Of Glory and Detective Story. George, like his good friend, Vincent Price, made every movie better. And of course, David Niven, one of the all time greats and legends, needs no introduction. Looking forward to it. Thank you Pizzaflick television division , for this delightful story , with talented actors and actresses . The advertisement - the first two machines shown , were known to me , one via Granny's place & that was entirely manual in operation , Mum's was a portable , with knee operated speed control . Even the advertisements Hostess , was beautifully presented , and appropriate for the time period .

Hi Theodore 🍕for some reason, the episodes I group under "The Golden Age of Television," which also have "TV" after the title, are usually referred to as a movie -- but no one complains that the "movie" is less than 30 mins long 🍕

Niven, great raconteur and English gentleman. Read his auto/biography years ago. He said that James Mason and Rex Harrison didn't fight for Britain in WW2, were as he ended up having done his bit for King and Country !. Lived in Switzerland with his sick wife toward his demise. Did,nt know his Singer association. Great little short movie. Thanks playmates. Dave

I've boughten a BUNCH of COOL old & E-VON vintage tablecloths at summer time flea markets the past 6 years with plans to make gorgeous dinner napkins for me & for gifts ... but HATE shopping & DID GO once a couple of years ago to a sewing shop - couldn't figure out WHICH sewing machine to buy - lol ... HATE decisions, as much as I hate machines & mechanical things. It's GOTTA be EZ to use cuz _i ALWAYS broke my mom's every time i used her's & i couldn't thread a bobbin, either, sooo_ 🙄 ... I find it hysterical that on an island that is probably 95 degrees with very high humidity, the men wear shirts, ties, and a sports coat along with a hat. The females wear nice dresses (their hair never gets frizzy or droops), they wear long earrings and are never without lipstick. It all looks so very silly. Not very authentic.
