@@mamaluigigamer99 If it is indeed a cannibal in game it'll mostly be 10 Rex's killing everything, because video games don't function like real life, people can just spawn in, cannibalism does not limit the number of people playing Rex. It did not work with Carno, did not work with Deino and did not work with Cera, it pretty much always had the opposite effect of making their numbers even higher.

I mean, the goal is to have a finished game. I'd imagine that's the goal of any game in production. As for what the end product will be, a survival game where you can either play as a dinosaur or human. Survival games don't usually have an end to them, it's more a testament to how long you can survive.

I really only had one thought and wish for the rex. And that was that the rex would hopefully NOT engage in cannibalism.. I once read that they were family animals. And if you’re worried about balance, then you should want Rex to be a cannibal, the only thing that will be able to consistently kill it (presumably) is Trike. If it isn’t a cannibal then Rex has nothing to fear in the current ecosystem.

a given critter being cannibalistic is I think intended to curb the population a bit, it just make things in general a bit more difficult. of course people are silly sometimes and the canni mutation exists, but still. It's not like cannibalism categorically prevents Ceras or whatever from working together or being friends, but it certainly makes even your own species rather less trustworthy and I think rather decreases life expectancy. all signs point to FG rex being extremely powerful, as such it being cannibalistic may very well be warranted. certainly while it's the sole apex carni and 1 of only 2 proper apexs on the roster alongside trike. (deino is a fish, stego is a smaller apex, all others are coming later) for at least as long as I've played Evrima the carnis highest up the food chain have been cannibals, old carno, cera now. gives them somebody their own size to pick on. scientific accuracy is value neutral and not a particular priority for The Isle, but there does seem to be pretty good evidence for rex engaging in cannibalism. only takes the words "T. rex cannibal" smashed into Google to look into it. last but not least: kissen only said "most likely" and "don't quote me on it".

I'm honestly surprised this game isn't dead yet. With those devs who have been providing the TOTAL minimum for several years. You can't have any expectations because you will be disappointed anyway. According to my quick calculations, if they maintain this pace of work, game will be ready in 2034 (full dino roster). 10 years from now and 29 YEARS after original first release :D

Here’s the thing,the isles devs work their butts off with most playable having 200-300 animations and need complex mechanics coded from scratch along with that theirs animation transitioning balancing bug fixing and much more,in the future do you think the games popularity and player base will increase?,increased popularity will also result in a bigger budget and in the future the dev team will increase in size so things will be able to come out faster and on top of ALL of that simpler playables are finished relatively quickly even with a small dev team and very limited budget.

Instead of focusing on things that are important for development of game, they often work on things that no one wants and from which they often withdraw, wasting even more time. Secondly, they apparently dont want to expand their team from what I heard. They like it in a small group I guess. Thirdly, The Isle is not f2p and has gained a lot of recognition over the years. If devs still have big financial problems, it is solely their fault. Fourthly, how is it that modders who most often earn nothing can do as much or even more than the employed and paid devs? I recommend seeing what modders can do in ARK or even Path of Titans. Devs of The Isle are some of the worst I've ever seen. All you need is a bit of objectivity to see it. I haven't even mentioned many other problems, such as toxicity towards its own community.
