The weather system they are using (Ultra Dynamic Sky) is probably the most realistic and performant weather system out there. I have used it in the past in UE5 and with some extra post processing you can instantly change the mood of any scene/game. The atmosphere with the rain in the night looks creepy and surreal, perfect for jump scares.

Beast of Bermuda saw a ton of progression over the years as well, it's a shame that one always gets excluded due to the dated graphics and toxic playerbase. If anything it was the first of the 3 to implement dynamic weather, dynamic growth and a customizable talent tree.

I absolutely LOVE what they did with dilo's venom, they implemented an interesting magic like attack, while still being realistic since its just a hallucination and venom causing damage to your body, the straffing also looks incredible, it'll make sparring look so good and realistic, not just dinos moving forward only, will make for some cinematic shit fr

Its not realistic at all... whats wrong with traditional venom? A dot with status effects? Dinosaurs have tiny brains, its highly unlikely psychological warfare would have any real affect on them... who is to say they even had the capacity to manifest a hallucination? Much less one so specific? It feels gamey and gimmicky, a way to artificially increase the "pack" for balance.

@@graciliraptor3990 theres no balance at all in the isle, they rely on a "sunk cost fallacy" in order to artificially inflate stress/excitement/engagement... thats why it takes so long to grow mid tiers and above, any deathmatch server showcases the flaws in the actual gameplay in gross fashion. Youre right, players dont try to mimic the theorized behavior of the animals they are playing but thats a problem from the development standpoint... you get how thats a problem right? There are ways to encourage playstyles... theyre called gameplay mechanics... herbis like stego and pachy literally have nothing to actually do... so they afk grow and then just walk around looking for fights... creative and thoughtful mechanics and goving those dinos domething to actually do can solve this problem. Im not asking for everyone to be railroaded in their gameplay but a lot of these issues would evaporate into nonissues, you might have a few players afk growing to bully but it wont be all of them and creative mechanics can weaken them to discourage that kind of play.

Imo I think they should make humans the main A.I. A game mode that involves trying not to get captured and studied since we're playing as a dino. Depending on if ur aggro or evasive is gonna determine how the humans handle you. Either tag you and learn about you or try to eliminate you because your a threat to assets/facilities. Obviously still have growth but I think it'd be a different approach to the dinosaur game genre.

I was skeptical spending money on this game at first, but upon playing it i had so much fun. I can tell that even though it feels incomplete it has so much potential to be the dinosaur game of my dreams. I'm a 1992 December baby who grew up with Jurassic park very close to my heart. The Horror of a T-rex coming, the magic of seeing a Brontosaurus for the first time and the nostalgia of hearing that famous orchestral masterpiece as the cast descends to Isla Nublar and enters Jurassic park for the very first time. This game did an outstanding job of reigniting my love for dinosaurs.

They should have created the venom effect differently. The fog is okay, but they should have made the dinosaur appear fatigued (heavy breathing, stamina loss). The venom should add extreme motion blur that would make you motion sick.

I totally agree and would love to see bitten dinos move or appear bit different to the outside eye, but at the same i understand why Devs wouldn't wanna add that now, cuz that means extra animations for each dino in roster, and another time consupsion with community already pushing them quite highly for each update. Also, we do NOT know that dilo will be capable of "Killing its prey at a distance". The utah randomly dying could´ve well been just random testing jank. Even dondi was confused by that happening. And given the Isle community, I urge you to be more careful with statements like "we know" or "it will"

My only problem is the server capacity so that's why not playing the game too often but the current addition also interesting. The Dilo's venom slightly resemble me to a warframe character named Ash who marks multiple or single opponents on different distances and sending his illusion to destroy them. This looks similar with the additional action bar so the Dilo need only just hit once and then he can flee or ambush it's prey-hunter. Herrera with the ability to climb can touch a bit the ecosystem on tops so Pteras cannot nest cliffs and mountain tops without consequences. Once Hypsi gets a similar climb mechanic he will be again a jack of all trades herbivore that can avoid large predators. Maybe herrera will be his nemesis but need to see the stats before claim this. Good video!

@@Dod.O39 Basically the max number of players capable to play on a time. 100 player is small and often I just see full servers so I cannot get into the official servers as much as I want. I rarely playing on privates because of the rules or the low amount of population. I need to test later on.

Seems they did a small step in the combat for 2 dinos. The tail riding attacks is horrible in 90% of your daily fights. There should have been a side-to-side movement for all dinos at the start. Main reason why I left this game was bc of the fighting system. Hopefully, they can add things that some herbivores have, tail attacks or like introduce the new sparring stance from the diablo to make the combat more enjoyable. I hope that this game is on the right track

There is no tail ride combat system anymore, if you check out evrima the combat is completely different from Legacy since now don't are able to just turn around much easily instead of going through a whole walking motion

tail riding pretty much never existed in evrima since it does like %50 to %10 of your total damage output when you bite something's tail (depending on which part of the tail you hit iirc) dinosaurs either have strong tail attacks, can swiftly turn 180 degrees in place to hit something behind them or do both like Tenonto, though I suggest that you look into it yourself since there is a lot more complexity to evrima combat depending on what dinos are fighting each other

that all looks really great. i'm getting a top notch 3K new PC next week to exchange my 1080 i have now and then there is no excuses anymore that its my PC causing the shit performance. If it still plays like shit it is definitely their backend which is shit. And then not even the best graphics and atmosphere can make this game nice. Its saddening seeing so many capable and talented Model Designer and such creating a game that looks stunning but runs like shit on mostly any PC cause its desync issue just ruins every fight no matter how thought out, good feeling and well the dinosaurs moveset is. and that's also one of the isles strong points. hust no matter when i play it i come to a point in every gameplay where im stuck in mid air from a pounce or i get somehow bitten dead by a carno while im technically on his side pouncing him and much more ghost hit and stutter type scenarios. I am really hoping they can manage to make this game work or i will not have much hope.

The game is so high quality but people swear that its boring and dead because the devs havent added anything to do. People AFK grow dinos then PVP and repeat. There need to be custom server settings so people can help reduce the need for these things and also more to do. Even ARKs play as dino mod lets you breed, raise kids, build nests, fly, climb, burrow and dig etc etc. ARK is far from realistic or perfect at all but with custom server settings you can recreate the feeling of the isle somewhat and give yourself a hardcore dino survival game, with both or only players/AI with as many playable creatures as you want with so many cool abilities. Its just the best experience Ive found and since I got ARK on PC for like 5 bucks its the best value dino sim Ive found 😂 I hope to see The Isle improve upon the gameplay and add more playables with fun mechanics.

Never. The team seriously struggles just to get 1 or 2 PC updates out a year. (Not me shitting on the team. I'm just being blunt about it. Probably cause I'm hangry atm. Need breakfast.) If you look at their average development time. A console build (which is NOT a simple copy and paste with some tweeks) for the dev team would take an entire Console Lifecycle/span. If say they started a PS5 & XBSX version today...it probably wouldn't be ready to release until halfway through PS6's lifespan. I'd guess we'd probably have Final Fantasy 18 & GTA6 out by then. They'd never be able to keep up with whatever the current tech is to be blunt. So this game will most likely (never say never) stay PC exclusive.
