The closer I get to the grave, the more I fear losing all this great music.

This was a staple with the local groups in the Harrisburg PA area in the early/mid-60's....Thundering Sentries, El Dantes, Lightning Decades, Invictas, all of them...great, great song. Too bad the group has not (and never will) gotten credit for their immense influence. All that and they had Jimi Hendrix as a guitarist.

The funny thing about the Isley Brothers is that they acted as platforms for 100 white rock and roll groups and singers, not one of whom performed any of their cover versions as well as the originals. But they did prove one thing about '60s pop music - there was one important prerequisite for big time fame in the AM era: be white. Hey, it worked! Look at all the "fans" that think "Twist and Shout" was a "Beatles" song....

Is it just me or does this song sound similar to the Isley Brother's song _Shout?_

You're right ! Same recording session, same band, same rhythm and mainly based on the same chord progression (I iV). This is what gospel musicians often call...a shout.
