This song came out in 78. It was played at the family reunion. Every time I hear it I think of all the people that were there that day that are gone. But I’m not sad because I know they went to the next phase watching the rest of us “ keep on jamming “...

1978 my mother went to this concert in Nashville, TN. What is beautiful about this song is The Isley Brothers ability to capture the reaction of the audience.... Just as they do with 1980's "Don't Say Goodnight (It's Time For Love)". The connect with the fans pushes the vibe around the world and when foes become fans and fans become family... as Isley Jasper Isley say we will be "Dancing Around The World!"

What an awakening. I was already into Parliament and Rick James so this helped step it up. BTW I'm a white hard rock and metal fan to the bone but love all quality music.

Honestly, I've been an INTENSE Isley Brothers fan since 1969, when I first heard "It's Your Thing" & especially "Keep On Doing" ( I was 7 years old !!). I've listened to almost every cut on most of their albums. They have such an extensive, deep, and LARGE catalogue (writing, singing, & playing for 50, 60 yrs). They cover all bases from the greatest love songs to burning UP yo' dance floor to political protest songs, and I can honestly say I don't know if they've ever made a bad cut..but I'VE NEVER HEARD A BAD Cut BY THIS GROUP!! There are some songs I like better than others, but overall I CAN say aIve never heard a song by the Isley's that I can say was bad ..
