I appreciate the reverence one might have for the source material, but you got to understand that too much reverence is counterintuitive to creativity. Luffy vs Katakuri wouldn't be half as good without anime fillers. Different mediums have different strengths and weaknesses, hence a lot of distinctive liberties a live action marvel movie might make compared to the comic book they are adapting, but anime is the natural evolution to a manga comic, so by all rights, the inevitable changes made should be trying to enhance the source material, not detract from it, but given the seasonal anime landscape, they got to make every episode hit and things end up hit the chopping block or are simply not given enough attention to detail as deserved due to external factors like deadlines or whatever. It's a stressful environment that doesn't lend itself to creativity. All I was trying to say is that your views are a bit too extreme for my taste on a nuanced topic. I mean things evolve in various ways as different creatives get ahold of them, example a Dub voice actor adding a personal flare to their role the source material never intended but has both happened and been well received on various occasions due to adapting to their strengths and surroundings.

@@JakeSmith-mq5dc I think by-large what you’re saying is correct. Unfortunately most of the people who try to undertake these “improvements” are incredibly untalented. That’s why I suggest my +/- rule in order to decide whether you should make a change to a story or not

@@Ludee27 I think we can all agree that it's a complicated situation with adaptation requiring creative liberties. My personal thought on the subject was aiming to keep the spirit of the source material, but you brought up an entire avenue of adaptations that retroactively apply brand names for recognition that I didn't consider like Young Justice. At the end of the day, creators have their own unique voices and the best you can hope for is getting compatible voiceson these adaptations.

That's not much to understand about Castlevania the game started in the time with story wasn't really the focus to begin with. The animated series is far better than the story of especially the original games

Why is amber hated? She's a person too, why does she not deserve to be emotional about her boyfriend not being able to be around. Its not her fault. Havent read the comics, but her being fine with it makes it sound kinda boring.🤷‍♂️
