Thanks for a great video. Sorry you lost your rim guard from your tire. The dealer should never have filled those tires without putting brass valve stem for air/fluid. Glad that new valve stem worked out for you. 😊

Yup. Going through the same issue right now. I am in complete agreement that both Rimguard and the dealership that has it installed should be more forth-right and honest regarding the use of the product with rubber valve stems. I would argue that Rimguard should require the dealer (or customer) to install metal valve stems, otherwise they cannot fill for them. It is BS to pump full of rimguard knowing the rubber valve stems are an issue. Late summer this year I was checking (going to check pressure) on the rears that are loaded with rim guard and beet juice started seeping from the rubber valve stem, all I was trying to do is remove the valve cap. So, I stopped and put it off as it didn't keep leaking. I don't use my tractor for a lot so waited for the cold weather (below freezing) when the rubber had hardened, was able to get valve cap off one side, checked pressure and added some air. The other side however, as I tried hard to loosen the valve cap the exact same thing happened it blew out the metal valve stem. I had positioned the stem at the 12 o'clock position so only a little bit of beet juice squirted out. I then pushed the valve stem back into the valve and it held. *Thanks for the video, Dave I am getting ready to order those valve replacement kits now.

Yeah it's aggravating, but it's been almost a year since I did the Colby valves and they haven't leaked a drop. They are definitely worth the money.

Great video young man!! Sorry that had to happen to you though. I loaded my own tires went with Bio Ballast it's made from grains here in missouri it smells like a feed mill i have a new kioti ck3520se shuttle shift has same valve stems as your tractor i never even thought about stems blowin out. Prolly be good idea to buy couple of those stems before it happens to me also cause my Ballast still cost 275.00 dollars don't want to lose it. I have a little seepage every once in a while around the bead . Thanks for sharing be safe have fun

Sorry that happened to you, but thank you for posting this. I cant imagine losing all that ballast over a valve stem. The beet juice is not cheap.

I have a 2018 JD tractor with R4 tires and RimGuard. Salesman said yea we put a metal stem in, etc. Got the tractor and the tires were filled but the stem wasn't swapped. Liar! Also tried switching me buckets for the hoe. I ordered the 16" and was on the sale sheet. Gave me a 12" and then complained he had to order a 16" and have a 12" sitting around. Sorry, he agreed to it! I just adjusted air in mine so lucky mine has held up this long! I'm swapping the tires this week for VersaTurf so will get that issue fixed then!

@BaznastyDave10 ай бұрын
Didn't get it on video but diff lock was spinning the good tire and not moving, I wound up having to use 4x4

What model do you have?

That sucked. But, orher than that you still like your tractor? Ive got 70hrs on mine. So far so good. 👍
@BaznastyDave10 ай бұрын
Yes, I choose the Kioti since it was the heaviest in it's class and also has by far the largest hydraulic pump. I will be doing a 200hr review soon.
