I highlighted over a map what parts of San Andreas are void of detail / activities / mission locations and it’s pretty bad. Basically 2/3 of it is pointless and the entire right side. Not only is it void of things to do, there’s literally 0 reason to even drive there, the roads don’t have any reason to exist and don’t go anywhere. It might as well be an ocean. When was the last time you went to Mount Gordo? Maybe if it was a forest the very least, it could be cinematic but there’s a single forest in the game, it’s all boring plains to steep to even walk on. Incredibly bad ball drop.

I think creating a map with multiple islands creates a much bigger environment, even if its smaller than a huge singular island. I remember the moment i realized that 5s map is bigger than the san andreas map. The problem was that 90% takes place in the bottom of the map while the other 10% are pretty much at the very top. San andreas utilizes multiple islands that switch up the scene during the story. Theres a reason to go there if you want to do side stuff like the driving schools, getting a different fighting style or going to a casino. So while 5 has the size, it sadly doesnt use much of it, something i liked about san andreas. Im worried 6s map will follow a similar style like 5 did.
@colliefields46372 ай бұрын
San Andreas also creates different unique themes and vibes in San Andreas too whereas V's map is just one large split between 20% urban vs 80% rural. Nomatter where you are in San Andreas, you will always end up in a place with unique character whether its the gang-infested Los Santos, the heavy woodlands and big mountain in the south west, the car friendly "Need for Speedy" San Fierro, the small cozy countryside towns dotted around, the outback sandy north that looks like there's nothing of value but ends up with a quarry and the Boneyard and then finally the very wealthy gambling paradise Las Venturas. In V however, most of the uniqueness can be summed up as Los Santos, a large mountain, a player-owned Airport and Paleto bay and finally a small northern town. I spend more time on the highway in Los Santos than I do exploring all the unique locations in it because there's not really many of them to justify exploring beyond the first few visits. Even in IV, Liberty City had loads of character in each borough that helped truly separate it from the next area and thus gave you major incentives to visit select parts of the map.

Been playing through SA for the first time lately. It feels pretty open to me, have had some fun exploring central Los Santos, I like the amount of extra stuff to do, where they clearly looked at old side-missions and made some improvements, like capping the run at 10 and giving you free time moments to Pay-n-Spray. Though they still got the old taxi/ambulance/fire/vigilante etc mostly in their old format if you want a more intense time. And that's not to mention the other few side activities I've only barely tried in central Los Santos. It's been a fun time.

GTA VC has probably the easiest map to navigate (though it's also the smallest), even after years of not playing it, I can still instantly find my way around. San Andreas has my favorite map with the expansive countryside and a ton of little details to find even after 20 years. But I think GTA IV has the most impressive map, if you can take it slow and like to walk around. For other games it's more about fast cars, bikes and planes, but IV has such a great atmosphere to just look around and enjoy the scenery. V is the most disappointing, seems great at first but it's just too empty and you don't really utilize the whole northern side.

Everyone went nuts and was so hyped about San Andreas coming to the HD Universe including myself. But when it was official that beside Los Santos only countryside and no other big city will be available the excitement started to crumble already. I remember being "relatively" underwhelmed when I played it for the first time. I liked it but it wasnt quite what I was hoping for and the feeling and the atmosphere that I had playing GTA SA or IV wasnt there anyway. Now 12 years after the game was released and many hours of playing I gotta say it was the first mayor indicator of R* going downhill. They basically lured everyone with having a new big map of San Andreas which is nothing but filled with emptiness in the end. GTA SA instead is blowing my mind still to this day

Combined with the DLC's, GTA IV has just as much open world content as VC and/or LCS has! That's not a bad thing. Sometimes it's better to have a 50-75 hour open world fun game, than having a 150+ hour open world grind sh*t. And imo, the unique ragdoll physics and the realistic car handling with the impressive fracture model gives GTA IV a lot of replayability. GTA V doesn't have more open world content than SA either.

Gta sa is best map in gta games

I think we can all accept at this point that GTA V was the worst entry in every regard, but only got high praise due to the hype around the franchise. The fact that it was a step down from the last two entries, which spanned nearly a decade, is mind boggling.

@@RS-vy9qv hey, bud, if it’s a fact that bothers you so, maybe you’re not cut out for gaming. GTA V has only seen the success it has due to the high marketability of GTA Online (shark cards), and were it not for that fact, we’d see GTA VI already and not be having this discussion. Nothing makes GTA V good except the fact that it’s the latest in the series. Go ahead, ask me in what ways GTA IV beats it, I got a boat load of receipts to back my claims.

Why is it vertical? And because of that, the map doesn't have a lot of life to it, The urban and rural areas became boring, even compared to Los Santos as portrayed in SA (if we focus only on the urban center) the city functions are dead and frankly not fun to walk around. Well, if most of the city's facilities and stores are harried, why didn't they even show an interest in improving them with the arrival of PS4 and PS5? I don't understand why GTA5 itself is overrated in terms of gameplay, let alone the online mode.

Love the GTA San Andreas map It's so diverse but the whole map feels...empty but what it makes interesting is atmosphere especially in desert that red-ish tint is awesome also love the rumors about variety of mysteries and it's packed but only if these mysteries we're true...then it will be perfect but sunrise on top of MT chilliad is memorable can't forget it but gta5 that map is a piece of crap for a game like this if they added more roads it will be acceptable but as it is now is just more for hunting simulator despite that i like roads in the canyon that part is good but highways? Meh give me a fast jet instead and GTA V for me it lacks of atmosphere game can be realistic in terms of graphics and sounds but that belongs to simulators or racing games in these i appreciate all details on cars, environment, car sounds yes but that's not what it should be about...game must have atmosphere without it i will forget it immediately after uninstall so that's why i love older games like halo 2 i mean original one it have atmosphere sound effects are good gameplay is fun and more fast pace but it's not exaggregated like CS 2 and story is interesting or Forza Horizon nice looking game with em...ok it lacks of real car sounds but other than that map is mostly fun lot of roads activities cars whatever you can imagine but that's a exception in modern games even control (i mean game control) lacks something but don't know what it is
