Reminds me of a time when I was working at the hospital. I was heading down to the cafeteria for lunch. When in the elevator, the doors open and staring at me are about 6-8 police and a guy wearing an orange jumpsuit, with handcuffs. All of them had kevlar on. After a moment I said, "going down?" The man in orange starts to walk forward but is stopped and pulled back by one of the police. Who says, " we'll get the next one." (elevator doors shut)

You know it was. I am serious here. Even today they use Windows for critical infrastructures and when they use Linux they just get a great deal from Microsoft. That happened for example here in germany in munich. And a lot of IOT stuff that would work fine on a Pi zero has often an entire windows OS. Robots are often controlled on Windows. Only God knows why.

@@DMSBrian24 I was bored with XP. Though I miss XP now to another level, it was the pinnacle of A Os back In. 01-07. Than I bought Vista one day after work and I feel in love with it because it felt modern. But then you got the pop up for every fucking action you did in the Os. But I found a way to disable it, so it went actually good with me. Was a few crashes here and there, but I liked it. Then 7 came around and GODDAMN WHAT AN OS.

I kid you not! Back in the nineties I worked in an inhouse 'tech' support area for a major bank and the first question asked was 'have you tried turning it off an on again!' 🤣 Problem was people were having to use their computers without any real training. Best call we got was a Senior General manager (GM, God to us) ringing to say his 'cup holder' wasn't working. The poor tech spent over an hour trying to work out what was going on when he realised the GM was using the CD loader tray to sit his coffee cup on!....... Priceless!!!!!!

Working in IT years back, a user rang to say his computer wasn't working; even turning it off and on again didn't help - all he had was a black screen. Is the screen switched on? I never turn it off he says. Eventually I have to go and investigate only to find the the monitor isn't even plugged in. He can't understand it. Turns out the cleaner used the socket to plug in her new vacuum because it had a shorted lead.
