I think it's also preserved as a national monument. It's in Turin and is the roof of a Fiat car factory. It was used to test new cars as they came off the production line.

It is way better and more lighthearted than the remake which was slick but not as clever. I have to admit the ending annoyed me. I wish you would know for sure if they got away with it or went off the mountain. Literally ended as a cliffhanger. I think the producers wanted to annoy the audience with this ending. It's somewhat amusing but also a bit of a cheat.
